This is not a home made YouTube production. EnTrance is recorded on professional audio recording equipment in acoustically treated studios by Broadcast Audio Professionals with over 20 years experience. We use all of the expected deep trance inducing isochronic, bin-aural, sub-tonal and inter-tonal technologies to help drop you into the deepest Delta Trance, along with a sophisticated use of the panning spectrum, where our positive suggestion and metaphoric teaching paraliminals help you begin the healing and development process. www.EnTrance.org.uk

After around 40,000 hours in studios, I've learned to hear something I never used to notice: intent.

It's the fire behind the voice.

A hypnosis recording can have a good script and technically excellent production, but if the intention behind the performance isn't right, something is missing.

Yes Therapy is a good example. It uses layers of voices, and the whole recording has a particular energy and conviction behind it.

For me, recording hypnosis is partly about giving someone a pep talk โ€” not telling them that life will be perfect, but reminding them that they can survive a lot.

And the production lesson is simple: slow down.

Give the words space. Record it again if it isn't right. Don't rush something that needs time.

It takes as long as it takes.

194 million streams.
Not because people were looking for hypnosis.
Because they were looking for a little less noise.
For over a decade I've been designing long-form audio that helps people slow down, settle their attention and create the conditions in which change becomes possible. It's quiet work. Patient work. The kind that doesn't announce itself.
No hype.
No miracle claims.
No subscription.
Just carefully crafted sessions to buy, keep and return to whenever you need them. They're yours to use however feels right. Some people listen once. Others come back for years.
Quietly changing minds since 2016.

We all want the one thing that will fix the problem.

The diet.

The pill.

The decision.

The fresh start.

But most of the problems we want to solve quickly were not created quickly.

I learned that first through alcohol, smoking and drugs, and later through weight.

A juice diet helped me lose 20 kilograms in three months.

The result was real.

But when the diet stopped, the old eating habits were still there.

The weight returned.

The fix had changed the outcome without changing the structure beneath it.

Lasting change usually needs more than stopping a behaviour.

It means noticing the compulsion, understanding how it operates and creating some distance between the urge and the action.

That space is where choice starts to return.

Hypnosis invites a gentle shift in attention. ๐ŸŒฟ The outside world softens, allowing rhythm and imagination to create space for a new response. Nothing is forced, and nothing is removedโ€”just a quieter way of listening and being. ๐ŸŽงโœจ

We often remember the exact day we changed.

The day we stopped drinking. The Monday we began losing weight. The moment we finally decided that a habit had to end.

But that may not be where change begins. It may simply be where the change becomes visible.

Before then, there can be months or years of frustration, failed attempts, diminishing enjoyment and a growing recognition that the old pattern no longer works.

I tried to stop drinking for almost a decade before I finally succeeded. The earlier attempts felt like holding my breath underwater. I meant them, but I had no dependable framework beneath the decision.

The new Backstage article explores why the day of action is often not the true beginning of change.

Why are EnTrance sessions so long?

It's probably the question I'm asked more than any other.

The answer goes back to my own experience using hypnosis while giving up alcohol.

I discovered it often took me twenty minutes simply to settle.

That changed everything.

When we designed EnTrance, we weren't trying to create longer recordings.

We were trying to give people enough time to stop rushing.

The full story is now on Backstage.

For years, people have only ever seen the finished EnTrance recordings.

That's exactly how it should be.

If a session helps someone through a difficult time, then it has already done its job.

But I've realised there are also people who enjoy understanding how things are made.

Backstage is my attempt to open the studio door a little.

Some weeks we'll talk about production.
Some weeks about behaviour change.
Some weeks about writing.
Sometimes about mistakes.

If you've ever wondered what happens before someone presses play, I hope you'll enjoy coming behind the scenes.

You feel it in the shoulders that won't drop, the jaw that stays set, the breath that lives high in the chest. The mind keeps insisting it has things to do. The body has been waiting for permission to rest.

This is why we built EnTrance around long-form passive listening. You don't have to perform relaxation or get the technique right. You sit, you press play, and you let the session do the quiet work of being present beside you. Like someone sitting on the other end of the sofa, not asking anything of you.

Real change rarely arrives in a single dramatic moment. It arrives through repeated quiet. The same calm voice, the same settling, again and again, until your nervous system learns that this is also a place it's allowed to live.

If today feels like one of those days where your mind won't let go, you don't need to push harder. You need to be met. Press play, and let the rest happen.
