Summer is definitely on it’s way…….
Our wonderful chef JM is preparing the outdoor space, with vibrant planting and delicious vegetables and fruit.
All in time for our planned upcoming event next month.
JM enjoys his allotment away from the workplace and brings these skills and talent into his work environment.
We are so grateful for the dedication of our team members and the pride they show working for our organisation.

The Great Holly Bush ‘Easter Bake Off Challenge’

The team took on the challenge and put their baking skills to the test. For some it was their first time, baking, and they rose to the challenge, some decided to work in teams and involve service users and others decided to get their families involved during the Easter holidays.

The competition was to bake an Easter Theme sweet or savoury dish.

You can see from the photos the end results were amazing and more to the point, absolutely delicious 😋

Management could not decide on one winner so 2 entries were chosen for the 1st Prize.
Congratulations to all the entries and let’s keep baking 💐

Thank you to all our nurses for their daily support, commitment and dedication to their role with our service users and community.

Empowering Circle C.I.C - thank you so much for your amazing visit to our home today. The service users and our team of staff are still talking about the session and the release they felt creating the one colour masterpiece.

Theme of the session: Just one colour - Blue
The Brief:
Our service users and team of staff were provided a blank canvas and the idea of creating with only one colour.
At first, felt daunting but with the facilitator’s guidance through meditation, gentle prompts, laughter, reassurance and a lot of trust…..something beautiful happened.
Using different tones of blue, water, texture, movement and emotion, each person created something deeply personal and magical. A reflection of their inner world in that moment.

One colour. One breath. One quiet moment with yourself. 💙

Mamma mia, it’s Pizza baking at Holly Bush.

What better way is there to acknowledge World Pizza Day 2026.

Honoring the culinary art of the pizzaiolo and the global love of this dish.

One of our service users favourite take away, and they really look forward to their Pizza’s.

Thank you team for putting this together for them all to enjoy.

Management Recognition Award - April 2026

Senior Carer BN - worthy recognition for his eulogy, he took upon himself to write, dedicated to one of our service users who recently passed on.

‘A small gesture of love and condolences 🕊️for SM’s remembrance. 😔
And the emotions from us in the absence of SM at HB 💔

He laughed before the room knew why,
Danced even when the music was shy.

Always Sang “Happy Birthday” loud and proud,
Wanted the song from every crowd.

With painted nails and gluten-free plates,
He lived in his own bright, gentle ways.

A sudden shout, a joke, a cheer,
And everyone’s smiles would reappear.

Shoes off, socks gone, wheels at rest—
SM lived simply, and loved the best.

We miss the joy he carried through,
The little things only he would do.

Though you are gone from sight today,
Your laughter in our hearts will stay.

Our staff are encouraged to express their emotions and we discuss the various ways they can achieve this, to provide them a sense of release and support their well-being.
BN chose to process the loss he was feeling by writing down his memories and thoughts of the Service User he cared and supported for 5 years.

Managers shared BN eulogy with the service users family, and they have been so touched by how well our staff know the people in their care, they have decided to read out these words at the funeral service planned in June.

This is an overwhelmingly deserved recognition of a dedicated member of our team, that has acted above and beyond and is an inspiration for his peers to aspire to.
