Emergency Services Day (999 Day) on 9th September 2026.

We joined recognising our Emergency Services today by showing our support for the important role they play in our communities.

Conversion and activities themed around this important professionals, and to honor and thank the Police, fire and rescue, ambulance, NHS staff, and volunteers (such as the RNLI, search and rescue, and first responders).

We also used the day as an Education Tool: reinforcing how to use emergency numbers like 999 responsibly and promote basic lifesaving skills.

Happy birthday to our amazing leader. We know when you are at the home and we feel when you are not.
Only unique individuals can leave such impressions and this describes our Home Manager Evi.

Thank you for your daily and constant support and may you continue as our Leader for many more years to come. We hope you had an amazing celebration with us, and cheers to a wonderful and healthy year ahead.

First Day of the Month, and celebrating 2 special people today.

If you are not home to celebrate, we will take the party to where you are. One of our service users was so happy when our staff bought to him his cake, card and gifts to hospital.

He celebrated with the extended family of hospital staff today and the smile on his face and the attention he received from everyone, really made his occasion extra special today.

Then the party continued at the home as one of our carers also celebrating her special day today…..

We take pride in marking every occasion as we know how important this is to the people we support.

Our staff know it’s not enough to just watch or listen to the daily news and understand what’s going on in the world, for the people we are supporting and care for daily.

It’s through creativity, touch, visual storytelling/communication, that really supports our service users understand truly and to allow them to feel and emotionally express how they have processed ‘news around the world’.

The lengths are team of staff will go to, to ensure our service users are exposed to the same realities as we are daily, is beyond comprehension and words.

Forever grateful the organisation has the leadership skills that nurture this culture amongst our team of staff, and everyone shares the vision to care and support with empathy, compassion and respect. To provide our service users the experiences we take for granted everyday.

We are incredibly honoured to recognise Mr CK for his extraordinary devotion, dedication, consistency,love and advocacy for his brother, HK, who is in our care at Holly Bush Nursing Home.

Management and team of staff had to extend their appreciation to this member of our family.

Mr CK embodies true care that extends far beyond, visiting his brother every single day, since HK’s admission to our home in Oct 2022.

Mr CK does not simply visit, he advocates, protects, and ensures that only the absolute best standard of care and happiness touches his brother’s life.

Mr CK’s consistency is a rare gift, his actions speak louder than words, his love provides a profound sense of security, not just for his brother in our care, but for our entire team who witnesses this bond every day.

Mr CK, your unwavering commitment does not go unnoticed, and our Home Manager Evi, and team of staff had to celebrate this with you.

Thank you for being the ultimate definition of a devoted brother, a fierce advocate, and a cherished part of our home and family.

This is evident in how our staff and service users always show over and above to recognise everyone’s special occasions, whether it be the Directors, staff members and our service users.

Friendship Day 2026, means celebrating the special bonds of human connection, kindness, and peace that tie people, countries, and cultures together. It encourages us to value our friends, bridge differences, and support global harmony.

The day reminds everyone that personal bonds cross language, culture, and background.

Friendship bracelets was the activity of the day today, and our proud Home Manager Evi, modelling the end product by one our service users 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Our chef is amazing, making all his colleagues and service users, wonderful fresh fruit surprises every time we bring in all the delicious summer fruits available at the moment.

This watermelon drink, with fresh herbs from the garden, that our chef plants and nurtures is absolutely delicious.
