Blue had an excellent day splashing the river and checking that her swimming hole was still exactly where she left it. 🐾💙

After a splash about in the water, she perched herself on a rock to admire her kingdom and greet every human and creature she could find. Her recall is getting better all the time, although making new friends remains her top priority!

Blue just loves life, and her happiness is infectious, spending time with her is a reminder to enjoy the little things. 🐕✨

I’m sharing this helpful post from The Alzheimer’s Society, which explains the different types of dementia and some of the symptoms people may experience.

Understanding dementia can help us provide better support, patience, and compassion to those living with it and their families.

As a Helper with Good Life Sorted, I know how important personalised support can be. Many Good Life Sorted Helpers are Dementia Friends and have experience supporting people living with dementia, helping them maintain independence, confidence, and quality of life in their own homes.

Please take a moment to read and share this valuable information from The Alzheimer’s Society.

Dementia isn’t one-size-fits-all and neither are its symptoms.

Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia and dementia with Lewy bodies are among the most common types – and each affects the brain in different ways.

From memory loss and confusion to changes in behaviour, language or movement, the symptoms can vary widely depending on the type of dementia.

This guide highlights some of the common symptoms linked to each illness, but it’s also important to remember that no two people experience dementia in the same way.

By recognising the different signs, including these lesser-known symptoms, we can spot changes earlier and help more people access an early diagnosis.

I take a lady to the library every week to take part in a Knit and Knatter group. It’s the highlight of her week.

Would you or someone you know like to visit a library? A Good Life Sorted Helper could take you there and assist you during your visit.

Libraries really are a special place with lots to see and do. Why not reconnect.

My dinner tonight… Yum 😋

This is Spanish Coca but with a light sprinkling of vegan cheese so now it’s technically vegan sauceless pizza.

Do any of you make variations of traditional Pizza/Coca?

I’ve just spent the weekend of Brownsea Island. Even though I go there regularly I am still impressed by its majestic energy.

I walked over 43,000 steps on Saturday and Sunday and it never seems crowded it was just beautiful.

Here are a few pictures from an amazing weekend.

Do any of you visit Brownsea Island?

After a hot day struggling to stay cool (her paddling pool helped, didn’t stay clean for long 🤣), Blue is settling on her cooling mat having an Ostrich Bone.

Little does she know I’m going to lie on that Mat once she’s gone to bed 🤣

What are your top tips for keeping cool? Or keeping your dog cool?
