This Baby Loss Awareness Week, we remember the babies who were loved, longed for and cherished, no matter how brief their time with us may have been.
As funeral directors, we are privileged to support families during some of the most heartbreaking moments of their lives. The loss of a baby is a grief that can be difficult to put into words, and every family’s experience is deeply personal.
We remember the tiny lives that made a lasting impact. We remember the parents, siblings, grandparents, and families who continue to carry that love with them every day.
Today, and throughout Baby Loss Awareness Week, we hold space for those grieving a baby - whether the loss was recent or many years ago. 🩷

A look back at the time we placed a gentleman’s much-loved pushbike on top of our hearse, taking it on one final journey alongside him. 🚲

It’s the little personal touches like this that can make a farewell so special and unique.

For us, it’s about celebrating the individual, the things they loved and the memories they leave behind. Sometimes, the smallest details can mean the most. ❤️

It’s a long one, but I really think it’s worth a listen.
I’ve worked alongside Matthew for many years, and one of the things I admire most is that the passion you hear him talk about in this video is genuinely there every single day.

He is constantly looking at how we can improve, how he can improve, and how we can continue to be the very best we can be for the families who put their trust in us. As he always says, “Do it with passion or not at all.”
So, what does our Managing Director, Matthew Uden, love about his job?
Quite simply… everything.

From his younger years washing and driving the limousines, to conducting funerals and supporting families on the front line, every part of the job has meant something to him.
Today, that same passion goes into leading our team and the constant pursuit of excellence.
But throughout every role and every stage, the goal has always remained the same - to make an incredibly hard time that little bit easier for families and to make sure they feel supported throughout.

Do it with passion or not at all.

Today marks the end of Su***de Awareness Month, but please don’t let this be the end of the support.
Su***de affects so many people and so many families, and the heartbreak it leaves behind is unimaginable. So please, keep talking. Keep checking in on your friends and loved ones. Be an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, or a hand to hold. Sometimes, simply knowing that someone cares can mean more than we realise.
Take a moment to pause. Take your hat off. Take a breath. Be present, check in with those around you, and remind someone that they’re not alone.
Not just today. Not just this month. Every day.

Last week, our Udens bowls team made its debut against Eltham Bowling Club

We had a fantastic evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. At one point, we were actually winning, which came as just as much of a shock to us as it did to them! 😂 Unfortunately, the real bowlers weren’t having any of that and staged a huge comeback to remind us who the pros really are! 🤣

Sadly, we couldn’t quite hold on to our lead, but we had a brilliant time and plenty of laughs along the way.

A huge thank you to Eltham Bowling Club for having us and making us feel so welcome. We’re already looking forward to the next game! 👏❤🎩🥇
