Have you ever caught yourself thinking those worry thoughts?

During a challenging fertility journey, we tend to think that the worst things that could happen, will happen to us. It is a scary journey and it is only natural that we will worry. It does not have to be all consuming though.

If you catch yourself thinking these worry thoughts, you can stop and ask yourself:
❓what is it that you are worried about
❓what is the evidence for and against the worry
❓if your worry does not come true, what will happen instead
❓if your worry does comes true, how will you handle it

Now come back to the present, and notice how your worry has changed.

⏸ Pausing is such a simple thing to do, yet we need to remind ourselves to do it.

You can take a deep breath, a slow breath, you can pause before asking or answering a question, or you can take a pause to find the best way forward if you need to make a decision.
Or just to simply be for a little while.

Re-acquaintance yourself with silence.

First steps first: clear the SMOG.

The Should, Must, Ought to and Got to get in the way of moving forward and finding your next best step on a difficult fertility journey. 

To clear the SMOG, ask yourself:

🔍 Is what I think I *Should, Must, Ought to, and Got to* do the same as what I would be comfortable doing, or is it coming from an external influence? 

🔍 Do I have any emotional connection to the SMOG? 

🔍 Am I in alignment with these suggestions? 

🔍Is there a "but" that I would automatically put at the end of the sentence: I should do ... but...

It is always best to check in with yourself and listen to your feelings, emotions, and intuition to see where they are trying to guide you.
