Our feet carry us through every step of life. They took our first wobbly steps, walked us through school gates, danced at weddings, and paced hospital corridors waiting for news. They've been with us through every milestone, yet they're so often the part of ourselves we forget to care for.
Healthier feet mean a healthier you, and a fuller, more independent life.
We're celebrating International Podiatry Day to remind us all that our feet deserve the same love and attention we give to the rest of our bodies.
Something as simple as looking after your nails can tell you so much about what's happening inside. Discolouration, changes in texture or shape can be quiet warning signs of underlying issues like diabetes. Noticing them early can protect not just your health, but the moments and freedom that matter most.
For the people we love, especially our parents and grandparents, a little care can mean the world. It can mean staying steady on their feet, getting out for that morning walk, or playing in the garden with the grandchildren.
Today, take a moment to care for your feet, and for someone whose steps have always supported yours.
