A lot of the camera confidence advice people repeat is actually keeping you stuck.
And here’s why.
You’ve probably heard it all before…
“Just be yourself.”
“Pretend the camera isn’t there.”
“Stop caring what people think.”
“Just do it more and it’ll get easier.”
And when you follow that advice… what usually happens?
You still overthink.
You still tense up.
You still avoid pressing record.
And you start thinking the problem is you.
But the advice isn’t wrong… it’s just incomplete.
Because it skips the most important part.
Your mind doesn’t change because you “decide” to be confident.
It changes because you train it with repetition and meaning.
If you keep telling yourself “don’t care what people think”…
But your nervous system still associates being seen with judgement…
Nothing shifts.
Here’s the real approach:
Stop trying to force confidence.
Start building familiarity.
Familiarity through repetition.
Familiarity through imperfect action.
Familiarity through showing your mind:
“Nothing bad happens when I press record.”
That’s what actually updates your confidence on camera.
Not motivation.
Not netter equipment. .
Not waiting to feel ready.
So, For the next 7 days, record 1 short video daily with zero pressure to post it.
Just train the repetition.
Because confidence isn’t a decision.
It’s a byproduct of evidence.
