You can eat all the pineapple you like, but implantation is about so much more than what you eat after embryo transfer 🍍

Some of the things that can influence implantation include-

❤️ The embryo

A beautiful-looking, highly graded embryo can have chromosomal abnormalities that we can’t see just by looking at it. Even PGTA tested don’t always succeed.

🩸Progesterone and Receptivity

It needs to be receptive at exactly the right time, and progesterone plays a really important role in preparing and maintaining that.

🫶 Structural Issues

Things like fibroids, polyps, adhesions, uterine abnormalities and hydrosalpinx can affect implantation

🔥 Infections & Inflammation

Infections, bacteria’s, inflammation and conditions such as chronic endometritis can all have an impact on implantation.

🩸Endometriosis & Adenomyosis

These can also affect the reproductive environment through the association with inflammation, problems with progesterone and structural issues.

🧐 What is still not known.

Immunology, microbiome, lifestyle, male factor are all areas that are continually being researched and debated - this part of reproduction is so complicated and many questions still go unanswered 😐

Social occasions, the questions, the kids, the pregnant people can be hard when you’re going through such a difficult time.

Putting your needs first and making your emotional health a priority is ok- it doesn’t make you a bad friend, family member- it makes you a human - going through a hard time- looking after yourself.
