A Heartfelt Thank You to 💙

Today, we want to say a very special thank you to Abigail Tobin for everything she has given to The Mummy MOT.

Abi has been part of our journey for many years, always showing up with enthusiasm, professionalism and an unwavering commitment to improving postnatal care for women. If we asked, she said yes. Her generosity, passion and support have made a real difference to our community.

It all began when Abi completed her Mummy MOT Practitioner training while pregnant herself. She later came to clinic for her own Mummy MOT, and from there, the rest became part of The Mummy MOT story. She went on to become not only an exceptional practitioner but also a much-loved trainer, helping to educate and inspire so many others along the way.

As Abi begins an exciting new chapter, we want to thank her for the care, expertise and kindness she has shared with mums, colleagues and fellow practitioners over the years.

From all of us at The Mummy MOT, thank you, Abi. We are incredibly grateful for everything you've contributed and wish you every success and happiness in whatever comes next.

You'll always be part of The Mummy MOT family. 💙

Birth changes you.

Sometimes physically.
Sometimes emotionally.
Often both.

During Birth Trauma Awareness Week, we're standing with every woman whose birth experience didn't unfold as she had hoped, planned or expected.

Birth trauma isn't always visible.

It can be the memories you replay.
The anxiety that catches you off guard.
The feeling that you're still carrying something long after everyone else has moved on.

This week, birth has once again been part of the national conversation. That's important but so is the language we use.

Every birth matters.

Every recovery matters.

There is no hierarchy of birth.

There is only your story.

If your birth has left you with physical pain, emotional trauma or unanswered questions, please know this:

🤍 Your experience is valid.
🤍 Your recovery matters.
🤍 You are not alone.
🤍 Help is available.

We're proud to stand alongside organisations including MASIC, The Birth Trauma Association, AIMS, and NHS Healthier Together, who work tirelessly to ensure women feel heard, supported and empowered.

At The Mummy MOT, we believe healing is possible.

Whether that's rebuilding confidence, reconnecting with your body, or simply hearing someone say, "I believe you."

Healing is a journey, and you don't have to walk it alone.

Today's news is what we've been waiting for. 📢

The UK's first-ever Maternity and Neonatal Commissioner has been announced, and it didn't happen on its own. It happened because women kept speaking up, kept sharing their stories, and refused to be brushed aside. Thank you to everyone who campaigned for this, including Louise Thompson and Theodora Clarke and organisations like The MASIC Foundation whose work supporting women affected by birth injury has helped keep these issues firmly in view. 🙏🏻

We're not going to gloss over how we got here. The reports behind today's decision are hard to read, and behind every page are women and families who weren't listened to when it mattered most. We're holding space for them today, and every day. 🩷

But we're choosing to look forward too. A dedicated voice for women, babies and families. A National Action Plan on the way. More funding for safer care. This is what change starting to happen actually looks like, and it's what so many mums have been asking for, for a long time. ⏳

This is exactly why we do what we do. For over a decade, The Mummy MOT® HQ - Postnatal Check-up has believed every woman deserves to feel seen, heard, supported and properly cared for in motherhood and recovery, not rushed through, not dismissed.

Our growing community of certified practitioners across the UK and Ireland shows up for that every single day, creating space where concerns are listened to without judgement, where bodies are understood, and where mums feel confident advocating for their own health.

We know how much it changes things when someone actually listens to you. It can be the difference between struggling alone and getting the support you need. ✔️

If today's news has stirred something up for you, or you're navigating your own postnatal recovery and could use that support, our practitioners are here. Find one near you at themummymot.com.

We're hopeful today. We're thankful. And we're standing alongside every mum, advocating for the care she deserves.

Always. 🤍

What an incredible day at the Everywoman Festival, exhibiting in the Birth & Beyond tent! 💜

So proud to share a space with pioneering women genuinely changing the landscape of women's health. Our Mummy MOT practitioner network is growing fast — midwives, physios, osteos and fit pros, all united in helping women feel seen and supported postnatally. 🤰🏻

Huge thanks to Julie for creating such a brilliant festival, and to and for their continued support of this space.

A special thank you to our brilliant founder Maria who had an incredible week of engagements, and to our COO Kirstie — both tireless advocates for better postnatal health. The work you both do matters so much. 🙌

Hot weather hits differently when you're pregnant. Here's what's actually happening — and what helps. 🌡️

Your body temperature naturally rises during pregnancy, which means you overheat faster, tire more easily, and dehydrate more quickly than you might expect — especially right now.

The risks are real: dehydration, heat exhaustion, and reduced blood flow to your baby can all be triggered by extreme heat. As pre and postnatal health experts, we want every pregnant woman to have the information she deserves.

5 ways to stay cool this week:

☀️ Sip water little and often — don't wait until you feel thirsty
☀️ Choose loose, light-coloured cotton or linen
☀️ Stay in the shade between 11am–3pm where possible
☀️ Cool your neck and wrists with a cold flannel or cool water
☀️ Rest without guilt — heat fatigue in pregnancy is real

If you're feeling dizzy, confused, or can't cool down within 30 minutes, please seek medical attention. Your body is doing something extraordinary — look after it. 💙

Save this for the warm days ahead, or share with a mum-to-be who needs it.
