Cervical Screening Awareness Week can bring up more than a diary reminder.
For some people, screening can trigger anxiety, shame, trauma responses, body discomfort, or avoidance.
Taking care of your health does not mean you have to pretend it is easy.
Support, preparation, and compassion can make difficult appointments feel more manageable.

Autistic Pride Day is a chance to move away from seeing autism only through struggle, and towards recognising identity, difference, strength, sensitivity, depth, and lived experience.
That does not mean ignoring challenges. It means understanding them without shame.
We support neurodiverse adults, young people, and families with care that respects the person, not just the diagnosis.

Loneliness can happen in a full room, a busy family, a friendship group, or an online community.
It often comes from feeling unseen, misunderstood, or unable to show up honestly as yourself.
For neurodiverse people, LGBTQ+ people, people with learning disabilities, and those navigating anxiety or depression, loneliness can be especially layered.
Support begins with being met without judgement.

Men’s Health Week is a reminder that mental health is health.
Many men are taught to cope quietly, push through, stay useful, and only ask for help when things are already unbearable.
But therapy is not a last resort. It can be a place to understand anger, burnout, low mood, anxiety, relationship strain, grief, identity, and the pressure to always appear fine.

Age Without Limits Day
Ageism can show up quietly, in the assumptions we make about what someone can do, feel, want, learn, change, or contribute because of their age. In therapy, we often see how these messages shape confidence, identity, relationships, and mental health across every stage of life. Ageing should not mean becoming invisible. It should not mean being dismissed, underestimated, or spoken over. We believe every person deserves dignity, emotional support, and space to be fully seen, whatever their age.

Caring can be an act of love, but it can also be emotionally complex.

Many carers feel guilt for being tired, resentment for needing space, or shame for struggling with the role.

These feelings do not make you uncaring.
They make you human.

Therapy can help carers process the emotional load, set boundaries, and find space for themselves without abandoning the people they love.

There is a growing conversation around the relationship between LGBTQ+ identity and neurodiversity.
Our blog explores why many neurodiverse people may experience sexuality, gender, attraction, and identity in ways that do not always fit traditional categories.
It is not about confusion. It may be about language finally catching up with lived experience. We offer a thoughtful, affirming space to explore identity on your own terms.

Pride Month: A Space for Every Mind

June is Pride Month, We believe identity should never have to be explained away, reduced, or hidden to be accepted. For many LGBTQ+ people, especially those who are also neurodiverse, identity can feel less like fitting into a box and more like finding language for something deeply personal. This month, we’ll be exploring the intersection of queerness, neurodiversity, mental health, belonging, and self-understanding. You are allowed to take up space as your whole self.
