Yesterday we shared Keith’s journey from consultation through to recovery.

One of the things that stood out most was the amount of thought that went into his decision. As Keith explained himself, it took him several months before he felt ready to proceed.

After debating whether to have surgery for a few years, Keith, aged 65, decided to ungergo a face and neck lift and upper and lower eye surgery.

Mark carefully maps out each line, taking Keith through the reasoning behind every adjustment and how it’s tailored to achieve the most balanced, natural result for his face.

Taking the time to educate and involve the patient is key to making sure the patient feels comfortable and confident throughout the process.

In this video, Mark explains the different types of rhinoplasty and what patients can expect from the procedure in under 2 minutes.

Rhinoplasty is one of my favourite procedures because it can improve both the appearance and function of the nose. Depending on the complexity of the case, surgery can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours.

Recovery is often quicker than many patients expect. Most of the swelling settles within the first few months, with around 90% of the result visible by 2 months and 99% of the final result appearing after 1 year.

Most patients can return to light exercise after around 3 weeks, and once the healing process is complete, the result is generally permanent.

When can a periorlar technqiue be used?

This is one of those cases were the ni**le position has onlt dropped by a small amount, therefore a periareolar technique can be used rather than a full uplift.

The breasts sit at slightly different levels, with Grade 1 ptosis on one side and Grade 2 on the other. There is also some asymmetry in the breast tissue itself. To address this, a different amount of tissue will be removed from each breast before using the same implants on both sides.

An additional advantage of this approach is that the implant can be inserted through the same incision, avoiding unnecessary scars elsewhere on the breast.

On paper it sounds straightforward, but these are often the cases where careful planning makes all the difference.

1 stone was removed from EACH breast and despite the size, Mark did not do a free ni**le graft. Mark chose to do an extended pedicle to transport the ni**le and we are rewarded with amazing results

What makes somebody look youthful?

Youthfulness comes from a combination of genetics, how we feel on the inside, lifestyle, health, and the way we look after ourselves over time.

There are two sides to aesthetics, which should complement each other. However, when treatments are overdone or used in the wrong way, the result often looks unnatural rather than youthful.

The goal should never be to dramatically change somebody’s appearance, but to achieve subtle improvements where people look naturally refreshed.

Ending our week with Kim, a 62 year old patient undergoing a “Kris Jenner” face lift, upper and lower blephoraplasty, brow lift, and neck lift. ⤵️

The initial objective was to restore a fresher, more lifted appearance while preserving natural facial identity.

Treatment began with a brow lift to elevate and open the upper face. This was followed by upper and lower blepharoplasty to address excess skin and puffiness, refining the eye area for a more rested look.

We also did an incision around the ear and conducted a “Kris Jenner” Facelift, which is a combination between a deep plane andSMAS plication. This approach focuses on structural repositioning, not just skin tightening, for a more durable and natural result.

The final step involved tightening the loose skin around the neck to create a smooth and cohesive transition from face to neckline.
