The biggest mistake I see women make when it comes to massaging their C-section scar is they only focus on their scar.

You need to be massaging your whole tummy!

1. Place your hands flat on your tummy. The heel of your hand should be near to your belly button. Your finger tips should be on or below your scar.
2. Move your tummy in clockwise circles making sure your whole tummy is moving.
3. Now move your hands up and down, again your scar should be moving but so should your whole tummy.
3. Use a 'wave' like motion to move one hand at a time, again your whole tummy should move!

It's never too late to start massaging your C-section scar and see a change in the way your C-section scar and tummy look.

Tight scar tissue, numbness and congestion in the tissue can all be contributing to your C-section overhang but massaging your scar and tummy consistently is a game-changer.

Sale on my 4 week course C-section Overhang Total Rehab is ending TOMORROW NIGHT!

I'd tell you...⬇️

✨That scar massage can help prevent the build up of scar tissue and make a huge difference to how your scar and tummy looks and feels.
✨ To massage your whole tummy...from under your scar up to your belly button
✨ that using silicone massage cups are a great way of releasing tight tissue, encouraging blood and oxygen to your scar and promoting healing.
✨to take some time to breathe to your scar and connect with your tummy

Cupping is a game changer when it comes to scars and recovery. Research shows that they help bring blood and oxygen to the area which aids healing and also have shown to reduce pain.

Top tips:

✨ Start gently and slowly, build up the strength (I.e how much you squeeze) and frequency.
✨ Use plenty of oil or balm on the skin first
✨ Only use once your scar is FULLY healed and you feel ready. This could be 8 weeks or 18 weeks. They should not cause pain.
✨ Take my online course if you're not sure and want more guidance.

I couldn't find the set I wanted online so I created my own. A set of three different size cups that I use all the time in my C-section scar massage treatments.

This weekend I'm giving away a FREE set of cups for the first 10 people to buy my online course C-section Overhang Total Rehab (my best-selling course that teaches you how to massage and cup your abdominal scar and improve how it looks and feels 🤍)

Let's talk about the C-section overhang ⬇️

There are so many contributing factors including...

- scar tissue and how your body has healed
- how you're sewn up after birth
- position of the scar
- weight gain can play a part but it's rarely the story
- fluid retention

You can get an overhang with any abdominal surgery including myomectomy and hysterectomy.

If you're new here, hi I'm Hannah 👋🏼I'm on a mission to help women feel better after abdominal surgeries and C-section birth.

Living with a numb, tight abdominal scar or a C-section 'overhang' you weren't expecting and can't seem to shift no matter what you do?

Comment READY below 👇🏼 and I'll send you my free mini video series all about why women get a C-section overhang and the method I use to heal tummies and improve overhangs.

⬇️

1. Scar tissue mobilisation... Scar tissue is a massive contributor to a C-section overhang. Massaging your tummy and scar will have a huge impact on how your tummy looks and feels.

2. Glute release... Tightness in your glutes will always be impacting your tummy and scar. Release tension here and you'll be amazed at how much softer your tummy looks.

3. Core and pelvic floor reconnection... No amount of crunches work if you haven't re-engaged these muscles first.

Want help getting started with each of these things?👇🏼

I've wanted to do a post about this for a while and it's come up in conversation with clients more and more recently, especially when it comes to unexplained infertility after C-section.

Have you heard of a scar niche or know that you have one?

Would love to hear your experiences👇🏼

The thing is⬇️

So many women don't realise that they don't have to live with tight, numb, painful C-section scars or even a C-section overhang.

Scar tissue can be impacting your body in so many ways and unless you address the TIGHT scar tissue that has formed along your C-section incision, then not much else is going to help.

Massage is an INCREDIBLE tool.

PLUS what a lot of people don't realise... When we massage your tummy and scar FIRST to release tight tissue your workouts/exercise can actually become more effective!! 🤯
