At the London School of Osteopathy teaching clinic in Bethnal Green final year students need to successfully complete a practical exam before they can join the General Osteopathic Council Register.

We are currently looking for people who are willing to act as patients for the exams on 22nd, 24th, 28th and 30th May 2024. These will be completely free of charge, and will consist of an examination and where appropriate treatment and a free follow up appointment (not under exam conditions).

Conditions and problem areas that can benefit from osteopathy include: back pain, repetitive strain injuries, sports injuries, arthritic pain, sciatica and postural problems.

If you are over the age of 18 and are experiencing any pain please call us on 0208 983 7133 to see if you are a suitable patient. The appointment will last approximately 90 minutes in total, the follow up appointment will take approximately 30 - 45 minutes.

Now we are back to face to face appointments, alongside the new precautions in place, we would appreciate if people would wear masks where possible.

This diagram explains the reasoning behind the request. Practitioners will always wear a mask whilst treating.

We understand that some people may not be able to wear masks, and that will be taken into consideration.

** BACK OPEN AS OF JUNE 10th 2020 **

We are pleased to announce we are back taking face to face appointments again. Things have changed a little, there will be pre appointment screening and a discussion about if hands on treatment is appropriate.

Practitioners will be wearing PPE and we encourage patients to take appropriate measures as well.

Hygiene has always been paramount and we will continue to operate within all Public Heath guidelines and those set out by WHO. Rooms will be thoroughly cleaned between each patient and practitioner PPE changed. There will also be an airing period between patients, which does in turn mean less availability.

Unfortunately there is no seated waiting area anymore to ensure we can maintain social distancing between patients within the clinic. So please arrive at the time of your appointment rather than too early or late as this will allow us to follow all safety measures.
