I AM STANDING AT A CROSSROADS AND I NEED GENUINE ADVICE ๐Ÿ™

Please bear with me, this is a long one. But I really need guidance from people who have been here before.

I am 28 years old and I have two men in my life right now. Both of them matter to me in different ways, and I am genuinely confused about which direction to take.

MY CURRENT BOYFRIEND has been by my side for 8 years. We are age mates, both turning 29 next year. He does not have everything figured out financially yet, but he is actively working toward our future. He is consistent, he is present, and I appreciate everything he does. I am not a demanding woman and I work too, so I am not sitting around waiting to be taken care of. Eight years is not a joke. I have invested my time, my heart, and my energy into this man and I genuinely love him.

MY EX disappeared on me without explanation. No goodbye, no reason, nothing. Now he is back, in his early 30s, saying he wants to marry me. He has already spoken to my mother. He is trying to reach my pastor. We attend the same church and my mother has always believed in marrying from the church, so his approach is working in his favor at home.

AND HERE IS WHERE MY HEART GETS HEAVY.

I have four fears I cannot shake:

ONE. What if after all these years, my boyfriend becomes financially stable and still does not marry me?

TWO. What if he is simply not the man God has for me, regardless of how long we have been together?

THREE. What if I choose my ex and he disappears again or turns out to be wrong for me too?

FOUR. How do I hear God clearly in a situation this sensitive? What signs should I be looking for?

I do not want to make a decision based on fear or pressure. I want to make a decision I will not regret. I have given 8 years to one man and I cannot bear to walk away only to watch another woman benefit from everything I poured into him. But I also cannot stay out of stubbornness if God is pointing me elsewhere.

Please advise me with wisdom, not insults. I am genuinely seeking direction. ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

DID I OVERREACT? I NEED HONEST OPINIONS ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

I am a married woman with three kids living on Lagos Island. Last month, my husband's younger sister moved in with us while searching for a job. Since we are in Lagos, we were happy to help her settle in.

I am a peaceful person by nature. I dish food for everyone in the house including her, every single time I finish cooking. But my sister-in-law never collects the food I dish for her. She always goes back to the pot and dishes for herself. I let it go. It was not worth fighting over.

UNTIL YESTERDAY.

I cooked egusi soup on Saturday evening. As usual, she dished her own food directly from the pot. Later that night, we had a power issue so I decided to rewarm the soup before storing it in the freezer, since the electrician was only coming Sunday morning before church.

When I opened the pot to rewarm it, the soup had already gone sour. I asked my house help what happened and she told me my sister-in-law had gone back into the pot A SECOND TIME after I had already warmed it. Going into a warm pot a second time with a used spoon is exactly what turns soup sour overnight.

I went to her room calmly and asked her about it. She apologized. I accepted it and walked away.

THE MOMENT I STEPPED OUT AND CLOSED HER DOOR, I heard her telling someone on the phone that "the stupid woman her brother married is disturbing her because of ordinary soup."

I went back in and we had a very serious exchange.

My husband says I overreacted. But I want to ask this community honestly.

IS IT OVERREACTING TO DEFEND YOUR DIGNITY IN YOUR OWN HOME? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿค”

IF YOU WANT TO BECOME USELESS IN LIFE, AND I MEAN DEEPLY, COMPLETELY USELESS, THEN SIT DOWN AND WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO KEEP THEIR PROMISES.

Your breakthrough is in YOUR hands. Not in someone's word, not in someone's "I will do it tomorrow," and certainly not in someone's good intentions that never translate into action.

Move. Plan. Execute. Depend on God and yourself.

Good Night and God bless you. ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ˜ญ I AM 8 MONTHS PREGNANT AND I AM SLOWLY BREAKING

I look at my stomach sometimes and cry. Not from joy. From fear. I feel like I am bringing my child into a prison.

When my husband and I got married, we had dreams. To fund his relocation to the UK, I sold my car and my shop equipment. Everything I had built as a graduate. He promised that once he settled, I would be the Queen of our home. Instead, he moved me into his elder sister's face-me-I-face-you apartment in Lagos. He said it was for my protection and his peace of mind.

His sister, let's call her Sister, controls everything.

My husband sends 150k monthly for my upkeep and prenatal care. NOT ONE KOBO reaches my hands. Sister handles all the money. She buys the cheapest derica of rice and tells me that a pregnant woman should not eat too much so the baby does not grow too big for a normal delivery. Last week, I was craving oranges. I asked for just 500 naira. She looked at me and said when she was pregnant with her three children, she survived on tap water and garri. Then she asked me if I think I am more special than her.

She told me to go and drink water. That the craving would pass.

THE MOST PAINFUL PART:

While she was away at a church retreat, my husband sent 20k directly to me for the week. I used that money to cook proper soup with turkey and fish. I made sure her children ate well, better than I ate myself. When she returned, she called my husband on video, pointed at a small scratch on her son's knee and told him I starved her children and spent the money on Brazilian hair and expensive lace.

MY HUSBAND DID NOT ASK FOR MY SIDE OF THE STORY. He called me and screamed for thirty minutes straight. He called me a prodigal wife. He said from that day, if I need even a sanitary pad, I must write a formal request to his sister.

Then yesterday, my mother, a widow, heard from a neighbor that I was looking pale at the market. She sent me 5k from her small pension to buy milk. Sister went through my phone while I was away charging it, saw the alert, snatched the phone and called my husband to say my family is teaching me to keep secrets and that I am planning to run away with his child.

MY HUSBAND BLOCKED MY NUMBER. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

He says I must confess the evil plans my mother and I are making before he will speak to me again.

I am a graduate. I had a business. I had a life. Now I am 8 months pregnant, hungry, and I cannot buy a sachet of water without his sister's approval. The man I married trusts his sister over the woman carrying his son.

I told him I want to leave for my mother's house. He threatened that he will never see the child and our marriage will be over.

But if I stay, I am not sure I will survive this depression before my due date. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Please, someone help me. What do I do? ๐Ÿ™

23/03/2026

I have been married to my husband Jude for 3 years. We were living peacefully until two weeks ago when my world turned upside down.

I came back from the market and found a young girl, about 23 years old, sitting in MY parlor. She was eating my food and casually changing my TV channels. Before I could even drop my bag, her mother walked out of my guest room dragging boxes behind her.

The mother looked me dead in the eye and told me not to raise my voice. She announced that her daughter is one month pregnant for my husband, and that since Jude is the father, her daughter would be staying in MY house until she delivers. She warned me that touching the girl means touching the baby. I turned to Jude. He could not look at me. He just bowed his head and said it was a mistake โ€” and that he could not send a pregnant woman into the streets since her family had disowned her.

THE DISRESPECT HAS NO LIMIT.

This girl, Blessing, does not greet me. I say good morning, she hisses and turns her face. She wears my clothes without permission. I wash my favorite wrapper, hang it outside, and find her tying it around her waist. She uses my towel. When I confronted her, she told me my husband said everything in this house belongs to him โ€” and since she carries his child, my things belong to her too.

Two days ago, I found her lying on my MARRIAGE BED, rubbing her stomach and laughing. When I raised my voice, my husband handed me money to buy a new bedsheet.

MONEY? IS IT MONEY I WANT? OR IS IT MY RESPECT?

Now here is where it gets even more complicated.

I AM ALSO PREGNANT. Two months gone. I have not told Jude yet because my heart is too broken and my anger is too fresh. I am supposed to travel next week to begin my university studies. This is a dream I have carried for a long time.

But now I am stuck between three painful choices:

ONE โ€” Do I tell Jude about my pregnancy so he sees that I also carry his child and maybe reclaim my place in this marriage?

TWO โ€” Do I leave for school and pursue my future, knowing this girl will take over my kitchen, my bedroom, and my husband completely while I am gone?

THREE โ€” Do I pack my bags and walk away from this marriage entirely before it destroys what is left of me?

My heart is so heavy. I don't want to lose my mind over this. Sisters and brothers, please advise me. I need wisdom right now, not judgment. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

"โ€‹I saw him "Online" at 11:11 PM last night. I typed "So you wonโ€™t even check on me?" but I deleted it. My chest was tight with shakara. I said to myself, "Carlson, if you don't call me tonight, forget about this relationship."

โ€‹I woke up this morning, my phone was dry. No "Good morning, my Queen," no "How was your night?" I hissed and blocked him on WhatsApp. I told my junior sister "Mรฉ" n are sck" โˆ…m, Iโ€™m done." I was waiting for him to call my normal line so I could shout & tell him it's over. I'm done!" โ€‹I didn't know I was already talking to a ghost. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

โ€‹The call finally came, but it wasn't him. It was his younger brother, crying so hard he couldn't even mention the name. โ€‹"Brother is gone. The asthma attack started around 11:00 PM. He was reaching for his phone, trying to type something, but he couldn't finish before he slumped." I quickly rush to the unblock list on my phone ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ โ€‹I unblocked him with shaking hands. I opened our chat. My heart stopped. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

โ€‹The last thing he did was start a message. The "Typing..." I saw last night wasn't him ignoring me. It was him fighting for his life. He managed to type "Babe, I canโ€™t breโ€”" โ€‹He never sent it. He gave up with my name on his screen while I was in my room forming "hard girl" and waiting for an apology. โ€‹I let my pride win, and now I have a lifetime of silence.

Dear Carlson my love,,
I'm sorry ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ,
Iโ€™m so sorry I waited for a text instead of being the help you needed. I unblocked you, but I can never unblock the silence. Pls forgive my 'hard girl' heart for not hearing your silent cry. You dd reaching for me, and I wasnโ€™t there to reach back. Sleep well, my love. I will carry this 'I'm sorry' until I see you again. Rest in peace, my silent fighter. Iโ€™m sorry I was too proud to save you.
I'm sorry... I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry!๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’”"

I am 35 years old, and I need to get this off my chest.

My wife and I live in a one-room apartment. When she gave birth to our first son last year, my mother and younger sister moved in to help with Omugwo (postpartum care). I was genuinely grateful. My mother is a widow who sacrificed everything to give me an education โ€” having her close felt like a gift.

But that was **14 months ago.** They are still here.

Every night, my wife and I share the bed with our baby, while my mother and my 22-year-old sister sleep on a mat right beside us. One small room. Four adults. One baby. No space. No privacy.

For over a year, I have had zero intimacy with my wife. Any time I reach for her at night, she panics and whispers, *"Your mother is right there!"* Out of frustration, I went to speak to my mother and sister about it. My mother said she didn't mind and would look away. My sister joked she'd put on headphones.

I thought I had solved the problem. I went back to tell my wife the "good news."

She was **not** happy. She looked at me like I had lost my mind entirely, and honestlyโ€ฆ maybe I had. She said I had no shame for discussing our private life with family. She hasn't let me touch her in 3 months. She says if I want our marriage back, I need to find my mother a separate place.

But how do I send my widowed mother away? She has nowhere to go in Lagos.

I'm torn. I love my wife. I love my mother. But this one-room situation is slowly destroying my marriage, and I don't know how much longer I can hold it together.

Men and women โ€” I need honest advice. What would you do in my position?๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

20/03/2026

I'm 29, a graduate, and a proud business owner running a successful boutique and a POS business. I take care of myself, so I'm not looking for a provider โ€” I'm looking for a *partner.*

I am 100% ready to settle down this year, but I refuse to entertain any "trial and error." If you're serious, please read the following carefully before sliding into my DMs. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

**On Children:**
I have a beautiful 4-year-old son and I love him fiercely. For this reason, I am only open to a man with no children of his own. I need someone who can give his whole heart, focus, and resources to me, my son, and whatever future we build together. I am not the stepmother type, and I don't want any external children or baby mama drama in my home. This is non-negotiable.

**On Age:**
I need a man, not a boy. Please be between **40 and 45 years old** โ€” mature, settled, and serious about life. I'm looking for a father figure with solid values and good moral upbringing, not a playmate.

**On Finances:**
I have my own money, so I'm not desperate, but I do need a man who is hardworking and financially responsible โ€” earning at least โ‚ฆ200k monthly. A car is also a must. My children will not be trekking in this heat. ๐Ÿš—

**On Home Life:**
I'm a very busy woman and my schedule doesn't always allow for cooking. You must be willing and able to employ a house help. I'm happy to contribute to that expense โ€” I just need a man who understands and respects my lifestyle, not one who will make me feel guilty for being ambitious.

**On Faith & Family:**
I am Catholic and I'd love a fellow Catholic Christian. Also, please be a middle son โ€” no first borns or only sons. I need a man who is free from heavy family financial burdens so we can focus on building *our* home.

---

To be clear โ€” I am not begging, and I am not forcing anyone. With or without a man, I am doing wonderfully well. I simply know my worth and I'm ready to share my life with someone who truly deserves it. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝโค๏ธ

Serious inquiries only. Time wasters will be ignored. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I'm writing this with trembling hands. I'm only 22 years old, and I no longer recognize the person staring back at me in the mirror.

Three months ago, I met a man at a local restaurant. He seemed completely ordinary โ€” handsome, charming, with a pleasant voice. His looks swept me off my feet, and when he invited me over that same evening, I agreed. We spent time together, and I was careful โ€” I used protection. But the moment it was over, everything shifted. The room went ice-cold. He disappeared into the bathroom and I heard him whispering โ€” alone, yet sounding like he was in a heated argument with someone.

Then I felt a tiny sharp pain on my leg. Like a mosquito bite. No mark. I thought nothing of it.

The next morning, he dropped me at the bus stop and handed me โ‚ฆ250,000 for "transport." I was stunned โ€” no man had ever been that generous with me. But when I got home and tried to reach him, I found he had already blocked me. I was hurt, but I told myself to move on.

*That was the day my life stopped.* ๐Ÿ’”

Two days later, the spot on my leg began to change. It turned black and hard as stone โ€” no pain, but it kept spreading. Now my entire leg is turning grey, like ash or dried wood. Then came the smell. Not the smell of a wound. The smell of wet earth โ€” like the ground just after rain. My roommate can no longer stay in the same room with me. She says I smell like a *fresh grave.*

And the food... ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I am starving, yet I cannot eat. Every bite of rice, every piece of bread turns to bitter charcoal in my mouth. I chew and chew, but it tastes like burnt wood. I spit everything out. For two months, I have survived on only water and pap. Swallowing has become a struggle.

My mother took me to an elder in the village. He took one look at me and wept. He told my mother that the man didn't collect anything from me โ€” he *deposited* something. He said the man used me to transfer a spiritual debt. He called the black patch on my leg a *"mark of the dead"* โ€” and said my body is slowly turning to dust.

The most terrifying part? I feel no pain. I am simply fading away.

I was a size 12. I am now a size 4. My skin peels like paper.

And when we went back to the house where he took me? The neighbors said the apartment has been empty for two years. The man who lived there was found dead in that same room. No tenant has moved in since.

Sisters, please be careful. ๐Ÿ™ Some people are walking around carrying things the naked eye cannot see.

I am scared. I am too young to waste away like this. If you are a prayer warrior, please remember me. I did nothing wrong. I only wanted to be loved. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’”
