Let’s dance… and that is exactly what happened here at Charlton Park Care Home 💃

Bipana and Joy shared such a joyful moment together, dancing, laughing and completely in the moment. It was one of those scenes that just made everyone around them smile and want to join in 😊

Bipana really does put her heart and soul into everything she does. She is always up for a bit of fun, and our residents absolutely love her for it. Moments like this are what make our home feel so special 💜

There’ll always be an England 🎤🎼

Last week, we all came together here at Charlton Park Care Home to celebrate St George’s Day, and what a lovely time we had 💜

We were joined by Daisy, who treated us to a wonderful sing along of songs from across the decades, all by much loved English artists. Our lovely residents absolutely loved it, with plenty of singing along, gentle dancing in their seats, and lots of laughter and good banter filling the room 🐲

It was one of those feel good afternoons where everyone just got involved in their own way, enjoying the music and the moment together 👑

Such a joyful way to celebrate and bring everyone together!

April didn’t feel like one big moment across our homes, but lots of smaller ones and that’s what made it so special 💜

There were Easter crafts, feasts, time spent outside as the weather picked up, and plenty of conversations sparked along the way. We also took time to recognise Autism Acceptance Week and Parkinson’s Awareness Week, creating space to learn, reflect and support one another.

St George’s Day brought a bit of fun and familiarity too, with simple touches that made people smile 🏴

It’s these everyday moments that shape life in our homes, not just the celebrations, but the time spent together in between.

A big thank you, as always, to our teams for everything they do to make those moments happen

What a week it’s been here at Charlton Park Care Home 💜

We’ve kept ourselves busy with a bit of everything, from bingo and flower arranging to puzzles, watercolour painting and even a cosy session with the portable projector. There’s been a lovely mix of quiet moments and plenty of laughter along the way.

Mollie, Joy, Roy, Siggy, Glenis, Pat H and Theresa all got stuck in and really made the most of it, each enjoying the activities in their own way. It’s been so nice to see everyone engaged, relaxed and enjoying each other’s company.

A week full of simple pleasures and happy moments ⏰

Thank you for the music… and what a show it was 🎵💜

We had Debbie from Deb and Joy join us for a fantastic ABBA performance, and it didn’t take long before our lounge was full of smiles and movement. From “Dancing Queen” to “Take a Chance on Me”, our residents were right there in the moment, singing along and soaking up the fun.

Joy and Angel were happily rocking along in their chairs, while Pat H and Glenis brought plenty of energy with their pom poms. There was such a lovely buzz around the room, with everyone enjoying the music in their own way.

At Charlton Park Care Home we do love a good boogie, and this was one to remember 💃

March has been a truly special month across our homes, filled with meaningful celebrations and shared experiences that have brought residents and teams together ✨

From raising awareness during Nutrition and Hydration Week to enjoying the energy and fun of St Patrick’s Day, there has been something for everyone to take part in. We also proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the inspiring women within our communities, and marked Mother’s Day with thoughtful moments of love, gratitude, and reflection 🌷 🚺 🍎 🍀

Life across our 46 homes is shaped by these moments, both big and small. They create a sense of belonging, spark conversation, and bring joy to everyday life, making each home a vibrant and supportive place to live 🏡💜

Behind every celebration is the dedication and care of our incredible teams, whose passion continues to create engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents 👏💜

Our home was full of energy, laughter and music as we truly danced the day away, bringing our lovely residents together for a joyful celebration of movement and connection 💃

Sonia, our very own dancing queen during her respite stay, lit up the room as she took to the floor alongside Brian, Sidney and Teresa, creating a moment of pure happiness shared between friends 👸

With lively music playing and smiles all around, everyone joined in, enjoying the rhythm, the company and the freedom to express themselves, making it a truly uplifting experience for all 🎶

Sonia’s kindness and enthusiasm helped encourage others to get involved, turning the afternoon into more than just dancing, it became a beautiful story of support, confidence and unforgettable shared moments 💜

"Connect 4" 🔴🟡

The lounge was buzzing with excitement as our residents gathered for a morning packed with games, creativity, and laughter. Sidney, Teresa, Angela, Trish, Pat B, and Deputy David all joined in, each bringing their own energy and smiles to the fun-filled session 💜

From the thrill of Connect 4 and shooting hoops at the basketball stand to painting with water and solving puzzles, everyone was fully engaged, cheering each other on and sharing stories along the way. The friendly competition and shared laughter made it a morning full of connection, joy, and special memories that will stay with us long after the games ended 🎨🧩
