July saw us celebrating a few of our favourite dates in the calendar, alongside all the everyday moments that make each month special 💜

We marked World Chocolate Day with a few well deserved treats, celebrated National Ice Cream Day with everyone's favourite flavours, and during , we took the opportunity to recognise our wonderful teams who make such a difference every day 🍦🍫

Alongside the celebrations, there were all the little moments that make each month what it is, catching up with friends, enjoying favourite activities and making the most of the summer days.

It's now or never... Elvis was in the building at Charlton Park Care Home ! 🎤💜

Our wonderful residents had a fantastic time singing along to the classics, and for some of our ladies it brought back happy memories of their younger days. There was plenty of smiling, a little swooning and lots of reminiscing as everyone enjoyed the performance.

A huge thank you to Scott Elvis - scotty for a phenomenal afternoon of entertainment. He certainly left us all shook up! 🎶💜

It was wonderful to welcome the Dementia Friendly Barber to Charlton Park Care Home 💈💜

Our wonderful residents really enjoyed the visit, and it was lovely to see everyone feeling so relaxed while having a fresh haircut and a friendly chat. Peter, David, Walter, Patrick, John, Sam, Brian and Tony all enjoyed spending time with him, and it was especially heartwarming to see some of our residents who usually prefer their own company feeling comfortable and happy throughout the visit.

A fresh trim, a familiar conversation and a kind face can make such a difference. Thank you for such a wonderful visit 😊

June brought plenty of reasons to celebrate across our homes, with lots of special moments shared together along the way 💜

We marked Care Home Open Week by welcoming visitors into our homes, celebrated Pride Month with colourful activities and conversations, and enjoyed making Father's Day a memorable one for the wonderful father figures in our community 🌈

There was also time for some light hearted fun as we tucked into National Fish and Chips Day, got creative for National Cheese Day, and found lots of other reasons to smile throughout the month 🧀🐟

Our newly refreshed library at Charlton Park Care Home had its first outing this week, and what a fun way to christen the space. 💜

Glenis, Mollie, Kathy, Pat B and Joy enjoyed an armchair exercise session packed with smiles and plenty of laughter. From the "Tina Turner" to the "Beyoncé", everyone had great fun joining in with the different moves, while Helen enjoyed watching everything unfold from the comfort of her chair. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon together 😊

Our garden is looking a little brighter here at Charlton Park Care Home thanks to the wonderful efforts of Pat H, Margaret K, Glenis and Theresa. 🌸💜

After some beautiful new flowers arrived, they were more than happy to get stuck in, carefully choosing where everything should go and giving our garden plenty of love and attention. We can't wait to watch everything bloom over the coming weeks 🌼

What a wonderful Pride celebration we had at Charlton Park Care Home 🌈💜

Our wonderful residents came together to celebrate love and acceptance with plenty of music and smiles. We were delighted to welcome the fabulous Claudia Prini, who had everyone singing, laughing and joining in from start to finish.

Claudia always makes time to interact with our residents during her performances, which is one of the many reasons they love seeing her so much. We had a fantastic afternoon and we're already looking forward to welcoming her back again soon 💜

We might have a few future Olympians at Charlton Park Care Home ! 🏐💜

Theresa and Brian had great fun spending time together, passing a beach ball back and forth and putting their skills to the test. There was plenty of laughter along the way as the rally continued.

Theresa was especially impressive, effortlessly keeping the game going while holding her baby doll at the same time. We think she is already ready for the next Summer Olympics 😊

Last week, alongside recognising Carers Week, we also took the opportunity to show our appreciation for the wonderful team here at Charlton Park Care Home 💜

Our wonderful residents were invited to nominate staff members they wanted to thank, and it was lovely to see so many kind words shared. To celebrate, residents handed out invitations to a special thank you buffet, giving them the chance to show their appreciation for all the support, care and friendship our team provides each day.

At Charlton Park, we see every member of our team as a carer in their own way. Whether they work directly with residents or support behind the scenes, everyone plays a part in helping to make our home a happy and caring place to be. It was a lovely occasion and a reminder of just how much these gestures mean to everyone involved 😊

Our wonderful residents at Charlton Park Care Home had great fun with our interactive projector table this week, spending the morning catching colourful butterflies as they fluttered across the screen 🦋💜

Siggy, Margaret and Theresa especially enjoyed joining in, reaching out to follow the butterflies and exploring the bright, colourful scene together. There was plenty of concentration, laughter and a little friendly competition along the way 😊

It was a lovely way to spend the morning, with everyone fully immersed in the game and enjoying something a little different.
