The NMC has proposed changes to practice learning standards for nursing and midwifery, including reducing programme hours for nursing by up to 1,000 hours.
We have concerns about the implications of these proposals and are urging the NMC to rethink. We will be working to influence this over the coming months, calling for these proposals to be reconsidered before any final decision is taken.
If you’re currently studying, you will not be affected by these changes, but future student nurses could be if the proposals go ahead.
