💛 A quiet reminder and a bit of reassurance.
I want to offer a small thought today.
I'm seeing more and more sleep supplements and 'fixes' coming up in my feed that allegedly have medical endorsements. I did a quick bit of checking with the help of AI on just one example (see the photo) and found the 'expert' credentials weren't quite what they seemed.
If you’ve read something about sleep on Social Media recently that felt very convincing (maybe even very certain) and it stirred a bit of hope in you… that makes sense. When you’re tired and waking in the night, hope can feel like a lifeline.
And if you’ve seen one of the posts that I’ve been getting, and have then taken the next step & tried something that was meant to be the answer but it didn’t help (or only helped briefly), I want you to know this:
That is not because of you.
It doesn’t mean you’re beyond help.
It doesn’t mean you didn’t try hard enough.
And it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you.
Sleep is deeply personal. It’s shaped by stress, hormones, safety, seasons of life, and things we can’t always see or control. What helps one person might do very little for another. Even when it’s described with a lot of confidence and ‘medical’ evidence.
If something hasn’t worked for you, please don’t turn that disappointment inward.
Treat yourself, and your sleep, with care not pressure.
If you ever feel confused, unsettled, or quietly discouraged by something you’ve read or tried, just know that you’re not alone.
Real support for sleep rarely comes in the form of a 'one trick' approach. It's usually quieter, kinder, and more tailored to you.
Your sleep doesn’t need fixing. It needs kindness, safety, and the right support, at the right time, and for you as a unique and wonderful human being.
💛
