🔥 FIRE NEEDLING — AN ANCIENT TECHNIQUE WITH A POWERFUL STIMULUS

Fire Needling 火针 (Huǒ Zhēn) combines the stimulation of acupuncture with a very brief application of intense heat.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine it is used to warm the channels, dispel Cold & Damp, move Qi & Blood and open areas of obstruction.

☀️ San Fu Tian (三伏天) – The Golden Treatment Period ☀️

From mid-July to mid-August, Traditional Chinese Medicine recognises San Fu Tian, the hottest time of the year when Yang Qi is believed to be at its strongest.

TCM has long used this period to “treat winter diseases in summer” by strengthening the body’s Yang energy, boosting immunity, and helping to expel Cold and Dampness before autumn and winter arrive.

One traditional treatment is San Fu Moxa, where warming herbal paste and/or moxibustion is applied to specific acupuncture points to support the body’s natural healing ability.

San Fu treatments may benefit those who experience:

Chrysanthemum + Goji Together This is a classic TCM summer tea combination because:

* Chrysanthemum cools excess heat
* Goji prevents the cooling herbs from overly drying the body
* Together they support the eyes, hydration, and recovery from heat

People often drink it for:

* screen-related eye strain
* hot weather fatigue
* mild dehydration
* dry/red eyes
* gentle daily cooling

Simple preparation

* 1 tbsp dried chrysanthemum flowers
* 1 tsp goji berries
* Hot water
* Steep 5–10 minutes

You can drink it warm or cooled in summer.

Not all headaches are the same — your body is trying to tell you a story. 🌿

In Chinese Medicine, the location and sensation of a headache can reveal different internal imbalances and meridian patterns within the body. Rather than simply masking symptoms, we look at why the pain is happening and what your body is trying to communicate.

✨ Tai Yang
Often felt at the back of the head and neck — linked to external wind-cold patterns, tension, chills, and body aches.

✨ Yang Ming
Pressure in the forehead area may relate to heat, digestive imbalance, or excess stagnation.

✨ Shao Yang
Stabbing pain on the sides of the head is commonly associated with stress, irritability, and gallbladder channel disharmony.

✨ Tai Yin
A heavy, full ache around the head can reflect dampness, fatigue, bloating, and deficiency patterns.

✨ Shao Yin
Deep pain at the top of the head and neck may indicate deeper exhaustion, nervous system depletion, or kidney-heart imbalance.

✨ Jue Yin
Piercing pain at the crown can relate to liver energy rising, emotional stress, and internal wind patterns.
