Working with a woman on the eve of childbirth is an almost sacred experience. A new human being is about to enter this world, and these days are filled with tender anticipation.
Gentle bodywork support at this moment is incredibly vital. It allows a nervous system to unwind, let the deep rhythm in mom’s and baby’s bodies speak up. It eases the tension in a tired lower back and weary legs, helping a woman feel both her inner strength and her softness before one of the most significant events of her life.
This Thursday, I joined an osteopathic session for an expectant mother. Together with my colleague, we worked “in four hands,” amplifying the support, listening to the gentle internal tide of the craniosacral system, and cradling it from both sides. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish our wonderful patient the happiest, softest, and most harmonious birth.
Dear mothers-to-be, I invite you into this space of stillness and restoration. I look forward to welcoming you for perinatal craniosacral therapy (gentle bodywork) sessions at the clinic in Marylebone. Please send a DM to find out details.
