It’s funny how often I see this happen.

Someone gets to a point where they know they can’t keep going the way they are. They’ve tried everything. They’re exhausted. So they reach a point where they genuinely ask for help. Whether that’s from God, the Universe, life itself, or simply a quiet conversation with themselves, they put it out there.

Then they walk into my clinic.

Sometimes I can see they’re exactly where they need to be. I can see they’re ready. But because I don’t match the picture they had in their mind of what “help” should look like, they walk away.

And I often sit there thinking, you were so close.

Not because I’m the answer for everyone, but because sometimes the thing you’ve been asking for doesn’t arrive in the package you expected.

We all have an idea of what healing should look like. We expect it to come from a certain type of person, in a certain place, or in a certain way.

But what if the guidance you’ve been searching for has already found you?

Sometimes life puts exactly what you need right in front of you. The hardest part isn’t finding it—it’s recognising it.

Stay open. Trust your instinct. Don’t let your expectations stop you from seeing the opportunity that’s already there.

Vitamin A is one of the most misunderstood nutrients in health.

Most people only think about eyesight, but vitamin A does far more than that.

Vitamin A acts like a hormone in the body. It binds to receptors in your cells and helps regulate the expression of hundreds of genes involved in growth, immune function, reproduction, and development.

It plays an important role in maintaining healthy skin and mucous membranes, supporting your immune system, helping cells grow and repair, and contributing to normal hormone signalling.

For fertility, vitamin A is especially important. It’s involved in healthy s***m production, egg development, implantation, placental development, and the formation of the baby’s organs during early pregnancy.

Natural food sources include liver, egg yolks, butter, full-fat dairy, and some cod liver oils. Plant foods provide beta-carotene, which the body must convert into vitamin A. That conversion isn’t equally efficient in everyone.

The key isn’t to fear vitamin A—it’s to understand it.

Like every nutrient, both deficiency and excessive intake can cause problems. The goal is to obtain the right amount from a nutrient-dense diet rather than relying on myths or extremes.

Nutrition isn’t about eliminating essential nutrients. It’s about giving the body the building blocks it needs to function as it was designed.

If I had a pound for every time someone told me, “I can’t afford to look after myself,” I’d probably be a millionaire.

What I often see is this…

People spend years eating poorly, neglecting their health, and assuming they’ll deal with it later.

Then one day they’re tired all the time, they’re in pain, they’ve gained weight, or they’ve been diagnosed with a health condition.

Suddenly, they’re searching everywhere for free advice, hoping for a quick fix.

When that doesn’t work, they end up spending far more than they ever would have if they’d invested in their health earlier.

Your health isn’t built overnight, and it rarely falls apart overnight either.

Every meal, every night’s sleep, every habit, and every decision is shaping the person you’ll become in five, ten, or twenty years.

So when someone says, “I don’t know how I got here,” the real question is…

What choices, repeated over time, brought them there?

The choices you make today create the health you’ll live with tomorrow.

Fertility doesn’t exist in isolation.

The body responds to the environment we create for it every single day.

Modern life exposes us to chronic stress, poor sleep, highly processed foods, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and, for many people, diets that are lower in nutrient density than those of previous generations.

None of these factors alone explain fertility problems, but together they can place extra demands on the body’s systems.

My approach is to step back and look at the bigger picture. Instead of focusing on one symptom, I look at nutrition, digestion, sleep, stress, movement, and the overall internal environment that supports healthy function.

Sometimes the best way forward isn’t doing more—it’s giving the body what it has been missing.

What do you think has changed the most over the last 100 years?

Fertility isn’t built by one supplement.

One of the biggest patterns I see is that people often focus on finding the “best” vitamin, while overlooking the nutritional foundation their body depends on every day.

I’m not talking about buying more supplements.

I’m talking about whether your body is receiving the nutrients it needs through the foods you eat, and whether those nutrients can actually be absorbed and used effectively.

When I work with clients, I don’t just look at fertility. I look at energy, digestion, sleep, stress, metabolic health, and the signs the body is giving us.

Why?

Because healthy reproductive function relies on healthy body systems working together.

Before asking, “What supplement should I take?”, ask yourself:

Does my body have the building blocks it needs to function at its best?

Did you know that body fat isn’t just stored energy? It’s actually an active organ that communicates with the rest of your body.

When excess body fat accumulates, it can influence hormone signalling, inflammation, and the way your body regulates insulin. These changes may affect ovulation, s***m quality, menstrual health, and overall fertility.

This isn’t about chasing the perfect body. It’s about creating a healthier internal environment where your hormones and reproductive system can function more effectively.

Healthy fertility starts with supporting the whole body—not just the reproductive organs.

Insulin and leptin are two of the most important hormones involved in regulating appetite, energy and body weight.

Insulin helps move nutrients into your cells and store energy after you eat. Leptin, produced by your fat cells, communicates with the brain to let it know when you have enough stored energy and when it’s time to stop eating.

When these hormones work together efficiently, your body is better able to regulate hunger, maintain steady energy and support a healthy metabolism. When that communication becomes disrupted, you may experience increased hunger, cravings, difficulty losing weight and, over time, metabolic dysfunction.

This is why I don’t focus on counting calories. My focus is on improving the internal environment that allows hormones to function as they were designed to. By choosing nutrient-dense foods, supporting metabolic health, improving sleep, managing stress and maintaining consistent habits, you’re helping restore the body’s natural signalling systems.

These same hormonal pathways don’t just influence weight management—they also play an important role in fertility. Elevated insulin levels can contribute to hormone imbalance, insulin resistance and conditions such as PCOS, affecting ovulation and reproductive health. Supporting insulin and leptin balance is about far more than losing weight; it’s about creating an environment where the whole body can function more effectively.

The biggest mistake I see is people trying to fix individual symptoms while ignoring the rest of the body.

Low energy? Take a supplement.
Hormone problem? Take another one.
Poor digestion? Add something else.

Before long, you’re trying to manage symptoms instead of asking why they’re happening in the first place.

The body doesn’t work in isolated parts. Your digestive system, nutrient status, metabolism, hormones, stress response and immune system all influence one another. When one area struggles, it often affects several others.

Whether you’re trying to improve your fertility or simply feel healthier, the goal shouldn’t be to chase symptoms. It should be to create an internal environment where your body can function the way it was designed to.

Stop asking, “How do I fix this symptom?”
Start asking, “What is my body trying to tell me?”

That’s where real, lasting change begins.

For years I noticed the same pattern…

Women were coming to me after failed IVF cycles or months (sometimes years) of trying to conceive, but nobody had helped them prepare their bodies first.

My focus isn’t just fertility.

My focus is creating the best possible internal environment for pregnancy.

That means looking at:
• Nutrition
• Digestion
• Blood sugar balance
• Hormones
• Stress & recovery
• Inflammation
• Lifestyle

Because conception isn’t just about having healthy eggs and s***m. It’s about whether the body has the resources to support new life.

This is the foundation of my Restoration Model, and it’s the approach I use with every fertility client.

If you’re trying to conceive naturally or preparing for IVF, start by asking one question:

Is my body truly ready for pregnancy?

✨ If you’re trying to fall pregnant, where should you start?

Many people focus on fertility treatments first, but I believe it’s important to begin by supporting the body’s foundations.

The three priority areas I focus on are:

🥗 Nutrition – Providing the nutrients your body needs to support hormone production, egg quality, s***m quality and overall health.

⚖️ Hormones – Helping to create the right internal environment for regular cycles, ovulation and reproductive function.

🌿 Digestive Health – A healthy digestive system is essential for breaking down food, absorbing nutrients and supporting the body as a whole.

When these three systems are working together, the body is often in a better position to support conception and a healthy pregnancy.

Every person is different, which is why understanding your own health is so important before deciding on the next steps.
