I used to think my evenings didn’t matter that much.
As long as I got enough sleep, it didn’t really matter whether I spent the hour before bed scrolling, watching TV or answering one last email.
The older I get, the more I realise that’s not true.
How I spend the last few minutes of my day often shapes how I feel the next morning. When I give myself a chance to slow down, move a little, drink a cup of tea and let the day settle, I almost always wake up feeling calmer and more refreshed.
Not because I’ve done anything complicated, but because I’ve given my mind and body a chance to catch up with each other before sleep.
The difference between the two evenings in this reel is only a few small choices, but those choices tend to create very different mornings.
Which side feels more familiar to you right now? 🌻
