What do we actually assess when looking at a Breast Lift before & after? 👀

A mastopexy is about much more than simply “lifting” the breasts. From a clinical perspective, we’re looking at several changes in breast anatomy and proportion.

In this case, we can assess the ni**le position in relation to the breast fold, degree of breast ptosis (drooping), skin laxity, distribution of breast tissue, projection, upper-pole fullness and overall symmetry.

Following mastopexy, the breast tissue has been reshaped and elevated, excess skin removed, and the ni**le–ar**la complex repositioned to create a higher, more balanced breast contour.

The theatre images show the immediate post-operative result, including the anchor-pattern incisions. At this stage, swelling and visible incision lines are completely expected — the breasts will continue to soften, settle and change throughout the healing process.
