Rhyl Kitchen Classroom The Rhyl Kitchen Classroom is a community kitchen based at Rhyl Primary School in London. It is a hu Power is electricity only - no gas.

Our mission is to provide:
• High quality food education to all our pupils and parents.
• A beacon of good practice in food education, sharing the kitchen as a training venue for other schools and educators.
• An opportunity for local community groups to use this fantastic resource outside of school hours. This specially designed classroom is a flexible teaching space which opens onto ou

r award-winning Outdoor Classroom and food garden, allowing us to integrate our teaching from plot to plate. This community kitchen is also available to hire by the hour, half day, day or longer bookings. It is ideal to hire as a production kitchen, prep kitchen or to host cookery classes and food workshops. It is located in our Outdoor Classroom, which is a food growing site with a wood fired oven. The whole space can be hired, for example for team-building days or for children’s parties. If you are interested please email the school office: [email protected]

The building is fully equipped with commercial grade equipment. We have six induction hobs which are mobile and can be plugged in around the room. There is also an ACE 20D commercial dough mixer.

Giorgio is brilliant with the children: opening their eyes to the world of the professional kitchen and inspiring them to explore the ingredients in front of them. At the end of the session, we play a blindfold game where children have to identify the mystery fruit or vegetable.

Love pizza? Want to learn how to make your own? ❤️🍕❤️

We're hosting a Pizza Making Workshop on Thursday 19th October, 7-9pm. Tickets are just £10 - first come, first served .....

During this workshop, you will learn:

1) The secrets of making perfect pizza dough using sourdough starter and Italian '00' flour. 
2) How to ball up and prove the dough.
3) How to stretch, top and bake the pizzas. 

We will share a meal of our pizzas in the kitchen and then you will get your own free dough balls and sourdough starter to take home.

You can book tickets via our website. And don't forget that we now serve our pizzas every Wednesday through the hatch onto Talacre Road, 12-1pm and 5-7pm.

OPEN DAY & PLANT SALE
Sunday 15th May, 11am – 2pm

Visit our award-winning food garden and community kitchen at Rhyl Kitchen Classroom – the new hub for food education, based at Rhyl Primary School.
All welcome. The event includes:
• Seedlings and pot plants to take home.
• Pizza from our woodfired oven
• Ice cream & sorbet from Penny Licks ()
• Free expert advice in urban gardening
• Free recipes & demos – learn how to make your own flatbreads!
• Seed sowing workshops - take your own pot home

The team will be available to chat and answer any questions and will also be selling some produce and vegetable seedlings ready to plant. (All proceeds will go back into the social enterprise)
