I'm delighted to take part of the next Massage Shala event happening on the 20th of October from 11 until 3pm at the centre 151 in Haggerston.

On the day there will be Thai, Shiatsu and Tuina floor based massages, and I will be offering acupuncture treatment at £30 for 45 minutes and ear acupuncture, £10 for 30 minutes. All massage are £40 x 60 minutes

A good example of reaching "SHA" at the sites of needles insertion. Skin redness shows that "Deqi" has been activated, and local blood flow has been increased

From a Western Medicine perspective when triggered by an external stimulus the body reacts with his inflammatory reaction producing HISTAMINES and other chemicals that activates our immune response.

During an acupuncture session, needles create a small trauma of the local tissue which is what triggers our immune systems to react and that's how healing takes place

Classes are a blend of slow vinyasa sequences and static poses from hatha focusing on flexibility and strength of body mind, correct allignment and breathing awareness. Will be some intro pranayama and relaxation at the end.
