One of the biggest myths I still hear.
As Julyโs ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐

๐ฉบ The evidence tells a different story.
According to International Menopause Society (IMS), fibroids are not an absolute contraindication to menopausal hormone therapy (HRT). Management should be individualised, balancing symptom relief with appropriate follow-up and investigation of any abnormal bleeding.
Three key reminders:

๐ข๐๐ซ๐จ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐-๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐- but menopause doesnโt always mean they disappear.

Hot flushes, night sweats, poor sleep, anxiety and brain fog are more likely to reflect the hormonal changes of perimenopause or menopause.
