🏡 A major milestone for Universal Care Services in Norfolk

We're delighted to celebrate the successful mobilisation of six Extra Care schemes across Norfolk, which officially transferred into our care this summer.

Supporting around 190 residents and delivered by a dedicated team of 133 colleagues, this expansion strengthens our ability to help people live independently while remaining connected to the communities they call home.

From Cromer and King's Lynn to Great Yarmouth and Gorleston-on-Sea, our teams have worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition for residents, families and colleagues alike.

We're incredibly proud of everyone involved in making this mobilisation a success and look forward to continuing to provide compassionate, person-centred care across Norfolk.

What a fantastic time at Care Show Birmingham! 👏

Some of our team recently attended the Care Show Birmingham, where we had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, explore the latest innovations, and gain valuable insights into the future of social care.

It was also fantastic to see our Head of Marketing take to the stage as a guest speaker on the Owners' & Directors' Forum Theatre, discussing the importance of building trust through a strong online presence in an increasingly digital industry.

A great day of learning, networking, and sharing ideas that will help shape the future of care.

🧡 The Care Workers' Charity Afternoon Tea 🧡

This week, we were delighted to attend the The Care Workers' Charity Afternoon Tea, held at the House of Lords, and hosted by Baroness Kay Andrews OBE.

The event brought together care workers, care providers, sector leaders and supporters who share a common goal: ensuring care workers receive the recognition, support and appreciation they deserve.

As part of Wear It Orange Week, attendees were encouraged to wear orange to help raise awareness of The Care Workers' Charity and celebrate the incredible contribution care workers make to communities across the UK every day. It was fantastic to see so many people showing their support for the social care workforce and helping shine a spotlight on this vital profession.

It was a privilege to hear about the impactful projects being delivered by The Care Workers' Charity, which continues to champion the financial, professional and mental wellbeing of care workers across the UK. We were heard a speech from Minister McGovern, Minister of State for Social Care and Mental Health, who shared valuable insights into the future of social care and the importance of supporting and strengthening the workforce that underpins the sector.

Most importantly, the afternoon provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded organisations who are equally passionate about supporting care workers and raising the profile of this vital profession.

The charity provides crisis grants, wellbeing support, training opportunities, resources, and advocates for greater recognition and improved conditions for the social care workforce.
