Morpheus8 doesn’t cause fat loss. Inexperienced practitioners do.

The concerns circulating online about fat loss and looking gaunt after treatment are real, but they’re almost always the result of the wrong settings being used by someone without the right level of expertise, not a flaw in the technology itself.

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate fibroblast activity, build new collagen fibres, tighten the skin, and improve texture and tone. In the right hands, the results are genuinely impressive. The machine does have settings that can coagulate fat, but those settings exist for specific clinical purposes and require precise knowledge and experience to use appropriately.

The technology is only as good as the person behind it. A clinician who fully understands the device, the settings, the depth, and the anatomy they’re treating will consistently deliver results that look natural, balanced, and exactly what the patient hoped for. A clinician who doesn’t will produce outcomes that can be difficult to correct.

If Morpheus8 is something you’re considering, the most important question to ask isn’t about the machine. It’s about who will be using it.

Your 40s are the decade where everything seems to shift at once, and the advice available online is often so contradictory that most people end up doing too much of the wrong things and not enough of the right ones. 👀

The truth is that what your skin needs in your 40s is not more products or more treatments.

It is a smarter, more targeted approach that actually accounts for what is changing beneath the surface.

Collagen loss, hormonal shifts, moisture loss, UV damage accumulated over years. These are not the same problem, and they do not respond to the same solutions.

This is the edit we give our own patients, including what to prioritise, what to ditch and why a focused plan of five or six well-chosen products used consistently will always outperform a shelf full of things rotated randomly. 👉

If your skin feels like it needs a proper reset and a plan that actually makes sense, that is exactly what we do at Look Lovely London.

Wondering what really works for the skin in menopause?

Hormonal decline accelerates collagen loss, reduces the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid levels, shifts fat pads, and changes bone structure in ways that affect how the face looks and ages.

Understanding that is what makes the difference between a treatment plan that works and one that falls short.

The three treatments we come back to most for patients at this life stage are Sunekos, Sculptra, and dermal filler, and each of them plays a specific role.

1. Sunekos restores what the skin is actively losing, hyaluronic acid and amino acids, giving the skin back its hydration, elasticity, and overall quality in a way that’s particularly relevant during this hormonal shift.

2. Sculptra works more slowly and more deeply, rebuilding the collagen scaffolding that has been gradually deteriorating over time. It’s not a quick fix, but the structural restoration it delivers over months is genuinely impressive.

3. And dermal filler addresses the changes happening at a deeper anatomical level, restoring the volume and support that bone loss, shifting fat pads, and changing ligaments have taken away.

Together, they cover the full picture of what the face needs at this stage.

Every clinic has a way of working. Ours has been shaped by sixteen years of experience, thousands of patient consultations and an unwavering belief that the standard of care in this industry should be higher than it often is.

There are things we will simply never compromise on.

👉 A thorough consultation before anything else.

👉 Only treating when it is genuinely the right thing to do.

👉 Being honest about what is realistic rather than telling people what they want to hear.

👉 Building treatment plans that make sense for the whole face, not just the concern someone walked in with.

We don’t chase trends and we do not oversell. Every treatment we offer has earned its place based on clinical evidence, safety and the results we have seen it deliver for real patients over many years.

If that sounds like the kind of clinic you have been looking for, we would love to hear from you.

Pigmentation keeps coming back for most people, and the reason is almost always the same.

Treatments like peels and lasers are excellent at removing pigment that’s already there, but they don’t stop the melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing that pigment, from making more. Without the right skincare at home actively suppressing that production every single day, the pigment returns, and the treatment investment is essentially undone.

This is why the order of approach matters so much when it comes to pigmentation. Skincare comes first, and it has to be the right skincare, chosen specifically to suppress melanocyte activity and prevent pigment from reaching the surface. Treatments then work on top of that foundation to address what’s already present. And the home routine maintains that suppression consistently between sessions.

Miss any part of that sequence, and you’re in a cycle of treating something that keeps returning, spending money without ever fully resolving the concern.

Pigmentation is one of the most treatable skin concerns when it’s approached correctly. The results can be genuinely transformative. But the homework has to be done at home first.

The skin beneath the eye is thin, fragile and often the first place to show the signs of collagen and elastin loss. Crepiness, fine lines and a general loss of firmness in this area can make someone look persistently tired regardless of anything else going on in their face.

This result was achieved by Sunekos, which works by combining hyaluronic acid with a patented amino acid complex that stimulates the production of both collagen and elastin within the tissue. Rather than simply hydrating the surface, it regenerates the underlying structure of the skin itself, which is why the improvement in texture and firmness is so visible after a course of treatment.

What you can see here is significantly smoother, firmer skin with a marked reduction in the crepiness and fine lines that were present before. The result looks completely natural because it is coming from within the skin rather than sitting on top of it.

Sunekos is also one of the treatments we use most often in combination with other approaches, particularly for patients addressing multiple concerns at the same time. It sits very naturally alongside tear trough filler, polynucleotides or a broader skin quality plan.

If this area is something you have been thinking about, come and have a proper conversation first. Link in bio to book, or send us a DM. ✨

Filler has a reputation it doesn’t entirely deserve, and a lot of that comes down to what people have seen rather than what good filler actually looks like 👀

The faces that put people off filler are simply the result of too much product, placed without enough clinical thought, by someone who did not read the face properly before picking up a syringe.

In the right hands, filler is one of the most precise and transformative tools in aesthetic medicine. It restores what has been lost, supports the structure of the face and leaves you looking like yourself, just better. Nobody should be able to tell.

Here is everything we wish more people understood before booking, including why filler alone is not always the right starting point and what genuinely good results actually look like 👉

If you have been curious about filler or had an experience somewhere else that left you uncertain, come and have a proper conversation with us first.

When it comes to treating skin in your 50s and beyond, the starting point matters enormously, and for us, that starting point is almost always Sculptra.

The skin changes that happen in this decade go deeper than the surface. Collagen fibres that have been gradually breaking down over the years need to be rebuilt, not just supplemented, and that requires a different kind of thinking than simply replacing volume with filler.

Sculptra works by stimulating the skin’s own collagen production using poly-L-lactic acid, gradually restoring the fibrous scaffolding that gives the skin its structure, firmness, and support over a period of 12 to 18 months. The results are slow by design, and that’s precisely why they look so natural.

The way I think about it is that Sculptra does the groundwork first. It rebuilds the foundation that everything else sits on, which means that when we go on to consider dermal filler or other treatments, they perform better, and the overall result looks more cohesive and more balanced.

For anyone over 50, starting with collagen restoration rather than volume replacement is almost always the more considered approach, and the one that gives the most natural, long-lasting outcome.

This is the post we wish every woman in her 30s would read before booking anything 👉

Your 30s are the most underrated decade for your skin, and the most important one to get right. The changes happening now are subtle enough to dismiss, but significant enough that what you do in this decade directly shapes how your skin behaves in your 40s and beyond.

The approach is simpler than most people expect, and it starts long before injectables.

Treating skin in your fifties requires a different way of thinking. And the order in which you do things matters more than most people realise.

By the time we reach fifty, the changes happening in the face are structural. Collagen fibres have weakened, fat pads have shifted, and hyaluronic acid has declined. Addressing that with filler alone is like redecorating a house with a compromised foundation. It might look better temporarily, but the underlying issue hasn’t been resolved.

This is why Sculptra is where we start. Rebuild the structure first, restore what’s been lost at a deeper level, and then use filler to refine and contour on top of that foundation. The results are more natural, more lasting, and far more considered than either treatment could deliver alone.

If you’re in your fifties and want to understand what a properly sequenced treatment plan could look like for your face, head to the link in our bio to book a consultation 💌
