Whatβs the best way to remove skin tags? ππ€π
When it comes to benign skin tags and other benign lesions, the method used really matters π
Traditional excision with a blade or scissors can carry a higher risk of visible scarring, while heat-based treatments may increase the risk of pigmentation changes in some patients.
In todayβs case, Dr Rishi is using a cold laser - our Er:YAG laser - to precisely vaporise this lovely patientβs lesions πβ‘οΈ
This allows us to treat the area in a very controlled way, with minimal discomfort and without the need for injectable anaesthetic in this patientβs case.
Before proceeding, we also carried out a patch test to check how the skin responded and to ensure there was no unwanted pigmentation afterwards π
This is particularly important when treating delicate areas such as the neck, where the skin can be more prone to marking.
The result? β‘οΈ A quick, precise and very well-tolerated treatment for suitable benign lesions, with beautiful healing potential when performed carefully and appropriately.
β οΈ As always, any lesion should be properly assessed by a medial professional first to confirm that it is benign before removal β οΈ
