IT'S PODCAST RELEASE DAY! 🎙️
For centuries, women were praised for being humble, pure and selfless — not because we chose those qualities, but because they were the only ones we were allowed to have. It was a man's world. An "idle" woman — one without paid work to fill her days — had exactly one respectable outlet available to her: charity. Quiet. Unpaid. Asking for nothing back.
How times have changed.

Now we get to stand up. Charge for our skill. Build something real. And still, some in our own community try to shame us back into silence with one word: careerist.
Not anymore.

Education - one of my absolute passions!
Minister Julia Almond's message here is exactly right: education isn't a bolt-on to the Union, it's the thing that sustains it. Her track record as VP rewriting the ministerial education courses and building new training pathways speaks for itself, and her plan to keep education "relevant, accessible, and of high quality" across speakers, mediums, ministers and healers is exactly what raises standards in this field, not vague promises.
Voting is open. If education matters to you, this is where your vote should go.

Education has always been central to the strength and development of the Spiritualists' National Union.

It supports ministers, speakers, mediums, healers, and all those who contribute to the life of our churches and communities. It also plays an important role in maintaining standards and ensuring continuity across generations.

During my time as Vice President, I led the rewriting of our ministerial education courses and supported the development of new training pathways. That experience reinforced my belief in the importance of clear, structured, and accessible education within the Union.

If elected, I would continue to support the development of education and training across all levels of the SNU, ensuring it remains relevant, accessible, and of high quality.

This includes development of speakers, mediums, ministers, and Spiritualist healers within the SNU. SNUi also plays a central role in making education accessible to people across the UK and internationally, enabling more people to learn, develop, and engage with Spiritualism wherever they are.

Education is not separate from the work of the Union. It is one of the foundations that sustains it.
