πŸŽ—οΈ Versus Cancer – support before, during and after cancer treatment

Getting ready for cancer treatment isn't just about the treatment itself. Being as physically and mentally prepared as possible can help you through what lies ahead and support your recovery afterwards.

Versus Cancer, run by EFL in the Community / Northern Cancer Alliance / Carlisle United Football Club, is a cancer prehabilitation and rehabilitation programme designed to help people:

πŸ’ͺ Build strength and energy before treatment and support recovery afterwards
πŸƒ Take part in physical activity at a level that's appropriate for them
🀝 Meet and connect with others who are on a similar journey
🧠 Support mental and social wellbeing, helping to reduce stress and anxiety
πŸ₯— Develop healthy habits around physical activity, eating and wellbeing that can continue beyond treatment
Sessions provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, with opportunities to share experiences, learn more about looking after yourself and get moving.

πŸ“ Based at Carlisle United
If you'd like to find out more or register your interest, contact Carlisle United:
