It was an honour and privilege for Gordon Blake Funeral Directors, Cinderford to arrange and conduct the funeral service for the late Mr Paul ‘Edge’ Pickett on Wednesday 27th May 2026.
Paul’s final journey began from his home in Cinderford with the Outlaws MC following, making a special trip past his old pub, The Swan (now known as The Fern Ticket) to allow for a poignant last farewell. Paul’s journey continued then on to Forest of Dean Crematorium for his funeral service.

Who said funerals are simply about mourning a loss?
80% of people agree with us that while there are tears, it’s a beautiful time for friends and family to gather and celebrate ✨
Let us help you tell their story – who they were and what they loved.

With direct cremation, you may not get a chance to say goodbye.
For some families, direct cremation means no viewing, no service, and no moment to
come together. It’s often chosen for its simplicity — but the emotional impact isn’t always understood until afterwards. Some moments can’t be undone.

Don't let a wish for simplicity lead to a lifetime of "what ifs." Let's find a path that supports you both. Statistics show that 51% of people who chose an unattended service were left with a lingering sense of regret, but we can create a quiet, modest send-off that respects their legacy while giving you the peace of mind
you deserve.
