Autumn has definitely arrived early here in the New Forest with the ferns turning golden brown and colourful fungi popping up everywhere. I even collected some sweet chestnuts the other day! Nature is at least a month early thanks to what was the hottest summer since records began.

We made it through January!

Happy Imbolc to you all as we celebrate the mid-point between the winter solstice and spring equinox. Yesterday felt almost spring-like, with warm sunshine and blue skies. The odd sharp shower and a beautiful rainbow on my dog walk made me feel optimistic.

The birds know that spring is coming - you can hear it in their song. The first signs of spring are appearing - daffodils, snowdrops and catkins and we have a full snow moon at 10.09pm - a perfect time to let go of what no longer serves you and to think about what you’d like to invite into your life this year.
