💪🏼 Keeping active at Hedges House 💪🏼

Our residents had a fantastic time on Friday taking part in a fun-filled chair aerobics session! There were plenty of smiles, laughter and movement as everyone got involved at their own pace.🤸‍♀️

Chair based exercise is a wonderful way for our residents to stay active while seated. It can help improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and circulation. Most importantly, it's a great opportunity to have fun together! 💜

Well done to our residents for getting involved- you were all amazing!

On Thursday we enjoyed a lovely trip out with our wonderful residents, Liz, Valerie and Denise to a local café in Lytham for a bite to eat and a coffee. ☕🍰

Getting out into the local community is so important for our residents. It provides a change of scenery and creates meaningful moments. These outings also support emotional wellbeing by reducing feelings of isolation while giving everyone something special to look forward to.

It was wonderful to see these ladies smiling and enjoying each others company. Days like these remind us that it's the little things that make a big difference. 🫶

What a wonderful musical afternoon we had yesterday! 🎶 🎵

A huge thank you to Beverley from Together in Tune for visiting us and treating our residents to a fantastic music session. There was plenty of singing along, smiling, and tapping of feet! 💜

Yesterday we enjoyed a lovely trip into Lytham with our wonderful resident, Liz. ☀️ ❤️

We took a gentle walk into town before stopping for a coffee and a chat. Getting out into the community is so important for our residents, providing fresh air, gentle exercise, social interaction, and a change in scenery. On Tuesday our residents had a wonderful time as our fitness instructor led a fun and engaging session filled with gentle stretching, movement, and dancing. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved.💗

Staying active is a great way to support both physical and mental well-being and Tuesdays session certainly lifted everyone’s spirit. We’re already looking forward to the next session!
