A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to our Summer Fayre! 💚☀️

Although the British weather had other ideas, it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces supporting our residents and joining in with the fun indoors. Thank you to everyone who donated prizes, cakes, gifts and bric-a-brac, and to everyone who bought raffle tickets, tombola tickets and games. Every penny raised will go back into providing activities, entertainment and special experiences for our residents.

A very special thank you to our wonderful singer, Kerry, who as always was an absolute delight to listen to. Your beautiful voice helped make the afternoon so special for everyone. 🎶💕

We're already looking forward to our next event! We're hoping to hold a Garden Party at the end of August (weather permitting 🤞), so keep an eye on our page for more details. Hopefully the sunshine will join us next time!

Unfortunately, the British weather has had other plans for us this weekend ☔... but don't worry, our Summer Fayre is STILL GOING AHEAD – just indoors! 🎉

🇫🇷✈️ Bonjour from France! ✈️🇫🇷

Our residents had a fantastic time on our armchair trip to France to celebrate Bastille Day! After receiving their first-class boarding passes, we "travelled" across the Channel for a day full of fun, learning and delicious treats.

We chatted about France, tested our knowledge with a French quiz, discovered some fascinating French facts, and watched videos about the history of Bastille Day as well as a beautiful tour of the French Riviera. To top it all off, everyone enjoyed some authentic French treats, including buttery croissants and colourful macarons. 🥐💙🤍❤️

It was a wonderful afternoon of reminiscing, laughter and exploring another culture—all without leaving the lounge! 🌍✨

🌸✨ Creativity was in full bloom at Delaheys this week! ✨🌸

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of flower arranging and crafts, using beautiful dried flowers and a variety of craft materials to create their own unique collages. 🌼💐

Each piece was completely different, reflecting everyone's own creativity and personality. One resident even chose a traditional French-inspired theme, creating a beautiful design with a lovely touch of French charm! 🇫🇷🗼

We've also been making the most of the lovely weather with some refreshing community walks, enjoying the sunshine, fresh air and a chance to get out and about together. ☀️🚶‍♀️🌳 Unfortunately, we were having such a great time that we forgot to take any photos!

It has been a wonderful week filled with creativity, conversation, laughter and making happy memories. Here are just a few of the beautiful creations from our craft session. ❤️

As part of our campaign, we'd love to welcome both current and former family members for a relaxed chat over a brew.

Whether you'd like to share ideas, ask questions, meet other families, or simply take some time for yourself, we'd love to see you there. Your experiences and feedback are so valuable and help us continue to make our home the best it can be.

🌞 Can You Help Us Make Our Summer Fayre Extra Special? 🌞

We are busy preparing for our Summer Fayre on Saturday 25th July, and we would love your help to make it a day to remember!

This year's event is extra special as we'll also be celebrating our recent positive CQC inspection result – a wonderful achievement that reflects the hard work and dedication of our whole team. We would love for our residents, families, friends and local community to come together and celebrate with us.

We are kindly looking for donations of:
🎁 Raffle prizes
🧁 Homemade or shop-bought baked goods
🛍️ New or good-quality items for our stalls
🎨 Crafts, gifts or anything else you think could help make the day a success!

Every donation, no matter how big or small, is hugely appreciated and will help us create a fantastic day for everyone.

If you'd like to donate, please pop into the home or speak to a member of the team. Thank you, as always, for your incredible support, kindness and generosity – we couldn't do it without you! 💚

Dementia friendly water painting is a wonderful activity that allows us to relax, be creative, and enjoy the moment.

It's a calming sensory experience that can help encourage focus, support hand-eye coordination, and provide a sense of achievement without any pressure 💚

Sometimes the simplest activities bring the biggest smiles, and it's always lovely to see everyone expressing themselves in their own unique way. ✨
