Great to meet with Andrew Snowden MP yesterday to discuss the challenges facing independent healthcare businesses and the importance of protecting patient choice within community eyecare.

It was encouraging to have an open and constructive conversation about the pressures currently facing local independent practices, NHS funding, and the vital role community optometrists play in reducing pressure on hospitals while delivering accessible frontline care.

Most importantly, we discussed ensuring patients continue to have the freedom to choose where they receive their healthcare rather than seeing services increasingly centralised towards large corporate providers.

Thank you Andrew for taking the time to listen and engage positively with the issues affecting local businesses, healthcare providers and patients across Fylde.
