The Knights Care Home, part of the Pearlcare family, is looking for a kind, caring and passionate Cook to join our friendly team.

If you love cooking and take pride in preparing delicious, nutritious and homely meals, we would love to hear from you! ❤️

👩‍🍳 The Role

As our Cook, you will play an important role in the daily lives of our residents, preparing fresh, nourishing and well-balanced meals that meet their individual dietary needs and preferences.

You will help create mealtimes that are enjoyable, welcoming and something our residents can look forward to each day.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing and cooking nutritious, appetising meals for our residents.
* Catering for individual dietary requirements, allergies and preferences.
* Preparing meals that are suitable for residents with different nutritional and dietary needs.
* Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
* Working alongside the care team to ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met.
* Managing food preparation and storage in line with food safety requirements.
* Helping to create varied and interesting menus.
* Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming kitchen environment.
* Treating every resident with dignity, kindness and respect.

We are looking for someone who is:

* Kind, caring and compassionate.
* Passionate about cooking and providing excellent food.
* Experienced in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a care home or similar setting.
* Knowledgeable about food hygiene and safe food preparation.
* Able to cater for different dietary requirements.
* Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team.
* Friendly and approachable, with a genuine interest in making a difference to our residents’ lives.
* Proud of the food they prepare and the dining experience they provide.

💷 £14.00–£14.50 per hour, depending on experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic Activities Co-ordinator to join our fantastic team at The Knights Care Home in Lytham St Annes.

🎨 As our Activities Co-ordinator, you’ll help make every day meaningful, enjoyable and memorable for our residents. From arts and crafts, music and quizzes to trips out, games, celebrations and simply spending quality time with residents, you’ll play a huge part in creating a happy, vibrant and inclusive home.

✨ We’re looking for someone who is:

🎭 Creative and full of ideas
🗣️ A great communicator who enjoys talking and listening
