3 years ago today I held my very first public sound bath with Life Is Sound.
It all started at my Grandma’s hospital bed, playing my first Rav Drum to her every night as we expected her passing. She made a recovery and told me it was the music, so that was the sign, the catalyst to do this for other people.
Next I held intimate sessions at Pretty Little Thing on staff lunch breaks, before deciding to do my first public session, which sold out mainly to friends and family.
As a musician who has been on big stages I kept asking, what next, what spaces can I do this in?
Next came in April 2024. This became home, a staple venue for Life Is Sound. From there we did our winter sessions at and still I asked, what is next?
A year later I reached out to and thought, if I don’t ask, someone else will. Our first session there was my largest sound bath yet with 145 people, and the next sold out at 300.
Since then I have found myself in the wonderful space of , a place already dear to my heart. Our second session sold out at 170 people! 🫶🏼
And recently stepping into the retreat space, holding not only a retreat but a high-end luxury retreat at .
We have welcomed almost 4,000 people to our sessions and I thank every single one of you for being on this journey with me. It is a true honour to hold spaces like these for you. To all the amazing people I’ve met through this community, the conversations, connections and friendships, thank you.
I now have a Life Is Soundmobile and can take what I do further afield. 🧡
Thank you to the venues for opening their spaces to me. To my friends and family who support me, my Mum, Maureen, Leah, Lauren, Helena and Lola who help at sessions, and everyone who has helped at an event along the way. Thank you to Natasha for understanding how much work this takes when you have a vision.
Happy Birthday Life Is Sound, now where do I go from here? That’s all in God’s hands 🙏🏼✨
Big Love to you all,
James
