What a month it's been 💗

Breast Cancer Awareness Month has seen our community come together in the most incredible ways, walking, fundraising, painting towns pink and donating generously to help us fund vital research into predicting and preventing breast cancer.

🥾 Our Camino for Darren team completed their trek from Baiona to Santiago de Compostela, in memory of Darren Weatherall. 150km, 6 days, blistered feet and full hearts.

🎀 Bishop's Itchington, Cheadle Hulme, Wilmslow, Bramhall and The Nightingale Centre all turned pink for Paint Your Town Pink, spreading awareness in their own communities.

🎉 Thanks to The Big Give, every donation made between 6th and 13th October was doubled, helping us raise an incredible £25,845 for vital research and support.

None of this would be possible without you. Whether you walked, donated, painted your town pink or simply shared our message, you've helped us move closer to a future free from breast cancer.

Meet our fastest team from this year’s Race Across Europe 🏁

Christina and Debbie went from torrential rain in Amsterdam to a sleepless night on a train, before crossing the finish line in Prague.

For them, it was an opportunity to honour loved ones, reflect on personal experiences of breast cancer and help prevent others from facing the same devastating disease.

If you’re going for your first-ever mammogram, it’s normal to feel a bit apprehensive about it 🩷

Many women worry about the potential pain or associate the scan with a breast cancer diagnosis, which can be enough for some to skip the screening altogether.

We've put together a simple guide of everything that happens at a mammogram so you know what to expect!

Attending your screening provides peace of mind and can also catch breast cancer at an earlier stage, making it more treatable. If you’re still a good few years off having your first mammogram, you should still familiarise yourself with your breasts so that you can spot any potential changes.
