📣 Health Psychology researcher, Summayah, is looking to speak with women from ethnically diverse communities about their experiences and support needs.

The aim is to improve understanding and help shape better support in the future.

Interviews can take place online or by phone, and participants will be entered into a prize draw as a thank you.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in Saturday’s Mammary Walk. You brought so much energy and fun to the streets of Manchester - and we loved every minute of it!

Together, we raised nearly £40,000 (including registration fees and Gift Aid), with donations still coming in! 🎉

And it wasn’t just about fundraising. We also handed out over 1,000 of our breast check cards, helping to spread vital awareness about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, and encouraging people to know what’s normal for them.

A special shoutout to our incredible marshals, who gave up their time to keep everyone safe and make sure the walk ran smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Cliona and Laura work at The Nightingale Centre, the home of Prevent Breast Cancer, where they see first-hand how early detection saves lives and how much easier treatment can be when breast cancer is caught early.

They also see the flip side: just how life-changing a diagnosis can be.

It’s that daily reality that’s driving them to take on Race Across Europe next week.

Their strategy? ‘No strategy’ just wing it and see where the road takes them (broken leg and all, don’t worry, there’s a fireman’s lift plan in place 😅).

Because research changes outcomes and research needs funding.

Many people are still unaware that men can get breast cancer too, which is why raising awareness of the signs and symptoms is so important.
