Men’s Cancer Awareness Week

Talking about cancer can save lives. 💙

Men’s Cancer Awareness Week is an opportunity to raise awareness of cancers that can affect men and encourage people to take changes in their health seriously.

Knowing the signs and symptoms, attending recommended screening and speaking to a healthcare professional when something doesn’t feel right can all help.

🩺 Know the signs. Talk about your health. Don’t ignore changes.

Su***de Prevention Day

Every conversation about mental health matters. 💛

Su***de Prevention Day is an opportunity to raise awareness, reduce stigma and encourage people to talk about how they are feeling.

If you’re worried about someone, checking in and listening without judgement can make a difference. Encouraging someone to seek support can also help them access the care they need.

💬 Start a conversation. Listen. Support one another.

NEW EPISODE 🎙️

In today's deeply personal episode of Peterloo's Daily Dose, Jess is joined by her sister, Leanne, who shares her experience of being diagnosed with breast cancer at just 33 years old.

Leanne speaks openly about fighting to have the treatment she believed was right for her, undergoing a double mastectomy, lymph node removal, six months of chemotherapy, five weeks of daily radiotherapy, and the reality of living with ten years of hormone treatment and medically induced menopause because her cancer was oestrogen receptor-positive.

Together, Jess and Leanne reflect on how cancer affects an entire family—how Leanne protected her young children through treatment, and what it was like for loved ones watching from the outside.

It's an honest conversation about resilience, fear, advocacy, and life beyond diagnosis.
