☀️ July is UV Safety Month ☀️

Spending time outdoors is great for your health, but it’s important to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

Did you know?
🌤️ You can get sunburned in the UK, even on cloudy days.
🧴 Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and reapply every 2 hours, or after swimming or sweating.
🕶️ Protect yourself with a wide-brimmed hat, UV-protective sunglasses and suitable clothing.
🌳 Seek shade between 11am and 3pm, when the sun is strongest.
👶 Take extra care with babies and children, keeping babies under 6 months out of direct sunlight.

Remember, there’s no safe or healthy way to get a tan, and sunburn increases your risk of developing skin cancer.

Keep an eye on any new or changing moles or skin changes, and contact your GP if you have any concerns.

Stay safe, stay protected, and enjoy the sunshine responsibly! ☀️💙

Please see below the details of our July Dementia clinics:

King’s Mill Hospital | Tuesday 7 July | 10am – 12pm | King’s Treatment Centre
Newark Hospital | Thursday 2 July | 10am – 12pm | Main Corridor
Mansfield Community Hospital | Friday 3 July | 10am – 12pm | Main Reception

The clinics are available for anyone affected by dementia, delirium and any other cognitive impairment signs – this includes carers and staff.

They provide an opportunity to ask questions and find support and information for carers.

The team have also introduced an evening clinic on the first Wednesday of every month from 4-7pm in the main reception at King’s Mill Hospital.

The first one will take place on Wednesday 1 July.

Please note millview surgery is closed this afternoon for the monthly protected learning time.
Unfortunately we have a problem with our phone system and patients are not being given the correct message when ringing us to inform them of the closure. We apologise and are looking into this matter to try and rectify it

We would like to inform you that Dr Ravi is retiring from general practice at the end of June. We wish her well and wish her a happy retirement.
