📢 DON'T BECOME A GHOST PATIENT 👻

Have you heard of a ghost patient?
A ghost patient is someone who is still registered with a GP practice, but whose details are no longer up to date or who may have moved away.

To help keep NHS records accurate, NHS England and Primary Care Support England (PCSE) regularly check patient registration records through a process called List Validation.

📬 You may receive a letter, text message or other communication asking you to confirm your details.

✅ This helps make sure:
🏥 You remain correctly registered with your GP practice.
💉 You receive important screening invitations and vaccination reminders.
The NHS can contact you when needed.
💷 GP practices receive the correct funding to care for their registered patients.

📍 Have your details changed?
If you've recently changed your:
🏠 Address
📞 Telephone number
📧 Email address

Please let us know as soon as possible so we can keep your records up to date.

📨 If you receive a message asking you to confirm your details, please don't ignore it.

✔ Follow the instructions provided.
✔ Check your information is correct.
✔ Respond before the stated deadline.

⚠️ What happens if you don't respond?
If NHS England or PCSE cannot confirm your details, you may be removed from your GP practice list. This could mean needing to re-register before accessing routine GP services.

🔒 Be aware of scams NHS England and PCSE will never ask for your bank details or request payment as part of this process

PROTECTED LEARNING TIME:
Protected Learning Time (PLT) for GP Practices
Everyone within GP Practices are committed to giving patients the best possible care and as part of this, GP Practices may take part in a number of PLT sessions throughout the year which allows them to carry out staff training for the whole practice team.
GP Practices within South Lincoln Healthcare have chosen to participate in Protected Learning Time (PLT) training.
Wednesday 15th July the Practice will close at 1pm The practice will open as normal at 8.00am Thursday 16th July.
Information on how to access advice from a GP will be made available on our telephone message and notices on the practice doors.

🎉Viking Way Challenge Complete! 🎉

On 30th June, we successfully completed our walking challenge, and we're delighted to share our final results!

👣 Total miles walked: 1,292.42 miles
💙 We smashed our fundraising target of £750! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported us, donated, and cheered us on along the way. Your generosity helped us exceed our walking goal and smash our fundraising target.

The funds raised will help us purchase equipment and other items for the surgery that will directly benefit our patients and enhance the care we provide.

We're always looking for ways to raise funds to support our patients. Throughout the year, we organise a variety of fundraising activities, including sponsored events, bake sales, craft sales, and raffles. Keep an eye on our page for details of upcoming events—we'd love for you to get involved and help us continue making a difference.

🚧 Important Notice – Limited Access at Church Walk Surgery 🚧

On Wednesday 17th June and Thursday 18th June, access to the surgery will be limited while our new automatic doors are being installed.

📍 If you have an appointment, please access the surgery via the back door.

♿ If you have mobility difficulties, please speak to the contractors on site, who will be happy to assist you.

📮 Samples and repeat prescription requests can be posted through the letterbox at the back door.

If your visit to the surgery is not essential, we would be grateful if you could postpone it until Friday, when the work is expected to be completed or contact us via telephone or submit an online request via our website www.churchwalkmetheringham.co.uk

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out these important improvements to the practice.

🎉 𝐕𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 🎉

What an incredible journey it’s been!

We’re delighted to share that the team at Church Walk Surgery has now walked a fantastic 1,200 miles as part of our Viking Way fundraising challenge, continuing to build on the amazing achievement of smashing our original target of 1,000 miles. 👣

And today, we proudly completed our main challenge – a 12-mile stretch of the Viking Way from Wellingore to Lincoln Cathedral. 🏃‍♀️⚔️⛪

Wearing our Viking hats with pride, we crossed the finish line at the Cathedral! What a memorable way to celebrate all the miles walked and the incredible support we’ve received along the way. 🪖💚

Thanks to the generosity of our patients, friends, family and local community, we’ve raised £425 towards our £750 target to help fund new equipment for our new treatment room. We’re now over halfway there, and every donation is helping us get closer to our goal.
