Check it, don’t chance it — act now on cancer.
If a symptom sticks around, get it checked. Early diagnosis saves lives.
Look out for:
✔️ a new lump or bump
✔️ pain that won’t go
✔️ blood in your poo or wee
✔️ unexplained weight loss
Only 56% of cancers in Lancashire and South Cumbria are found at stages 1–2 (59% nationally). Our ambition is 78% by 2032. We’ll get there together if people seek help sooner.
You’re not wasting anyone’s time. Your GP will want to see you.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our much-loved friend and colleague, Kathryn.

Kathryn joined Park View Surgery in January 2005. Back then, we were a far smaller team, and strong friendships were quickly formed.

Starting on reception before moving into a secretarial role, Kathryn made an incredible contribution to our team through her dedication, kindness, and unwavering support for both colleagues and patients alike. She was quick-witted, with a wonderfully naughty sense of humour, yet somehow always looked as though butter wouldn’t melt in that beautiful face.

Kathryn will be remembered not only for her hard work and professionalism, but also for the warmth, humour, and positivity she brought to those around her every day.

Our thoughts are with Kathryn’s daughters, grandchildren, mum, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by us all. ❤️
