We're expanding our quality team and looking for a driven Quality Engineer with deep expertise in APQP and PPAP. If you thrive in high-stakes, regulated environments and want your work to matter on cutting-edge nuclear, aerospace, and defence programmes, read on.

▸ Lead APQP activities across the full product lifecycle, concept through to production
▸ Prepare, review, and approve PPAP documentation to customer and regulatory standards

We’re proud to celebrate the progress and creativity of Harrison, our Year 1 Welding and Fabrication Apprentice.

During his first year at Burnley College, Harrison has gone beyond the core curriculum, setting himself increasingly challenging projects to develop his skills. Starting with practical items, he then took on an ambitious fabrication project, creating a detailed polar bear sculpture using 1mm material, a difficult material to weld due to distortion.

The result speaks for itself.

Harrison was invited to site to showcase his work to the wider team and senior leadership, and it was clear to see the pride he has in what he’s achieved so far.

His dedication has also inspired others at college, encouraging a bit of friendly competition among his peers.

Harrison commented:
“I’ve really enjoyed making the polar bear and I’m already looking forward to my next project. I can’t wait to start full time and continue learning and improving.”

We’re looking forward to welcoming Harrison full time and supporting his continued development.

Always a pleasure to support new talent at Graham Engineering Ltd. We welcomed Taylor Harrison, a recent university graduate with a background in food and beverage photography, as he explored something entirely new: the world of manufacturing. He is always behind the lens so we took a few of him in action.

Taylor brought a fantastic eye for detail and quickly adapted to the pace and precision of the shop floor. It’s been great to see how he's captured the people, the processes and the pride that powers our work.

NDT Inspector | Inspection & Quality | Graham Engineering Ltd

We don't just manufacture components, we're responsible for them. Our inspection team is the last line of defence before a part reaches the customer, and we take that seriously. If you hold your work to the same standard, we'd like to hear from you.

The role
You'll be working at the heart of our quality function - carrying out visual and dye penetrant inspection of welds and manual dimensional inspection of machined, pressed, and fabricated components. This is a technically demanding position in a fast-paced environment, working alongside a team that holds integrity and precision as non-negotiables.

Required qualifications

🔹 PCN Level 2 — Dye Penetrant Inspection
🔹 PCN Level 2 / CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
🔹 Time-served apprenticeship

What we're looking for:
🔹 Experience in an engineering inspection role
🔹 Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
🔹 Familiarity with stainless and mild steel components
🔹 Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
🔹 Clear communication and problem-solving ability
🔹 Appetite for further training and development
