Nearly four decades ago I moved into my house, a house built on land that was once a water garden of the next door farmhouse. Each year, especially around mating season, the frogs would return & my garden would be full of them & their croaking chorus. My children would welcome them & fill up the paddling pool hoping they’d have some bathing buddies haha! As the years passed their numbers declined until they came no more, hopefully they had found themselves a new water oasis. No more visits until today & this little one arrived camouflaged by the scorched summer grass, its appearance & timing very apt in my life right now.
Be thankful for the sight of a frog as their amazing transformation from tadpole to adult a wonderful example to us all of the potential & possibilities that can lie within personal change & growth. Like their amazing metamorphosis we too can embrace change, adapt to new circumstances, & something that is not always easy, accept the cycles of life. Their connection to & ability to find water, their habitat & the moisture their skin requires, another significant spiritual sign for us. Water signifying the importance of emotions & the power of our intuition within our lives, encouraging us to stay connected to our emotional well-being. A chance to cleanse ourselves of all that we no longer need, rising from the water refreshed.
As he continued his journey, hopefully to the local pond, the huge leap he took was, I feel, his parting piece of advice - trust in your instincts, delve into the depths of your subconscious, face the fear, take that leap of faith & grab those opportunities that come your way.
