✨ First week at The Ambry Clinic!✨ The Ambry Clinic

What a week! I have officially completed my first week working from 6 St Gregory’s Alley as The Ambry Clinic, and I’m so excited for this next chapter. 💜

A huge thank you to our wonderful clinic owners, Kate from Norwich Acupuncture & NNFP and Molly from for creating such a beautiful, welcoming and professional space. ✨

And a massive thank you to all my clients and referrers for supporting me through this transition. The last couple of months haven’t been easy, working independently whilst surrounded by construction work! 😂 Thank you for your patience and for continuing to trust and support me.

After almost 10 months of being self-employed, I’ve also decided that this week will be my last Saturday working. 🎉

My new clinic hours are:

🗓️ Monday 10am–6pm
🗓️ Tuesday 11am–7pm
🗓️ Thursday 10am–6pm
🗓️ Friday 10am–5pm

I’m really looking forward to having a little more balance, whilst also working alongside the other practitioners in the building to provide a more integrated approach to patient care. 🤝

Here’s to this exciting new chapter at The Ambry Clinic! 🥂✨

This afternoon I had the pleasure of joining The Magdalene Group’s Women’s Wellbeing Inclusion Group in Norwich to talk about pelvic floor health, what every woman should know.

We had a fantastic discussion about pelvic health, including bladder and bowel health, menopause, pelvic floor function, and the importance of recognising symptoms and knowing that support is available.

One of my favourite parts was seeing everyone getting involved, asking questions, and helping to break down the stigma around talking about pelvic health. These conversations matter, and no woman should feel embarrassed or think she has to “just put up with” symptoms.

A huge thank you to The Magdalene Group for the invitation and to everyone who came along and made it such a welcoming, supportive afternoon. 💜

✨ 3 years of Ellie Yuen Physiotherapy💙

Three years ago, I started my private physiotherapy business alongside my full-time NHS role, simply wanting to keep my hands-on skills as a physiotherapist.

I had no idea how much it would grow.

What began as a small side hustle soon highlighted just how limited access to specialist pelvic health physiotherapy was across Norfolk. So many people were living with symptoms they thought they had to accept, simply because they didn’t know where else to go.

I developed the practice gradually around my NHS work, evenings, weekends, and even as a mobile clinic, doing whatever I could to make care more accessible.

Over time, my purpose became clearer: to improve access to high-quality pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and to help people feel more confident in their bodies again.

Last October, I took the biggest step and left my full-time NHS role to focus fully on my private practice. It was a huge decision, but one that allowed the business to grow even further.

Now, 6 St Gregorys Alley will become The Ambry Clinic, where I’ll be working alongside new colleagues in a multidisciplinary space. I’m really looking forward to this next chapter and the opportunities it will bring for collaborative, patient-centred care.

Three years on, I’m incredibly grateful for every patient, referral, recommendation, and bit of support along the way.

Here’s to the next chapter of Ellie Yuen Physiotherapy at The Ambry Clinic 💙

Something nobody warned me about when I started working in pelvic health 💜

So many patients sit in front of me and quietly say:
“I honestly thought I was going mad.”

And every time, I completely understand why they feel that way.

When pain shows up every single day…
When answers don’t always come easily…
When scans come back “normal”…
And when people around you can’t see what you’re feeling…

It doesn’t just affect your body. It starts to affect everything.

I see it in the sleepless nights.
The anxiety before going out.
The constant checking, thinking, bracing.
The exhaustion of trying to explain something invisible.

Long-term pelvic pain is not “just stress”.
But living with it can absolutely impact your mental health.

May is Pelvic Pain Awareness Month and this is week Mental Health Awareness Week, and I just want this to land for anyone who needs it:

You are not overreacting.
You are not weak.
And you are not imagining it.

This is why pelvic health care should always look at the whole person, not just the symptom 🤍

If this resonates, you’re not alone.

My email is always open.

Know Your Pelvic Floor workshop = the best kind of Saturday afternoon 💜

We covered pelvic floor basics, breathing, coordination, and actually lifting weights properly. It’s a hands-on, practical, and full of real talk. This is what pelvic health looks like 🙌

This is the kind of community work I love, bringing pelvic health education into the spaces where women are already training, so they can lift, move, and feel strong with confidence 💪

Huge thank you to in Holt for having me and everyone who attended 🙏

Tag your studio, gym, or wellness space, or DM me if you’d love a pelvic health workshop there 👀

Spent today at a study day in Norwich focused on building best practice pathways in perinatal pelvic health.

A consistent theme throughout was how much impact we can have when care is earlier, preventative, and more joined-up, rather than reactive once symptoms have already developed.

We explored key areas including:
• Perinatal pelvic health pathways (local & national) and service development
• OASI prevention, risk factors, and updated guideline evidence
• Supervised pelvic floor muscle training and rehabilitation best practice
• Perineal trauma, healing, and clinical management approaches
• Early screening tools, trauma-informed care, and birth reflections support

What stood out most was the ongoing gap between evidence and access and how important consistency is across services so women don’t fall through the cracks.

Perinatal pelvic health works best when it is embedded across the whole journey: pregnancy, birth and postnatal recovery.

✨ If you’re pregnant or postnatal and unsure whether what you’re experiencing is normal, early pelvic health assessment can help provide clarity and support safe recovery.
