I’ve had plantar fasciitis.
Not just treated it in 7,000+ patients over 28 years. Actually had it myself.
Running club. Wrong shoes. Boggy trail. Classic overuse injury.
As a podiatrist and former Army PTI, I knew exactly what to do:
✓ Custom orthotics to offload
✓ Reduced training load
✓ Gradual tissue tolerance building
✓ Acupuncture on my own foot (interesting experience!)
Result? Kept training throughout. Full resolution in 3-4 months.
Here’s what that experience taught me that textbooks can’t:
→ Proper diagnosis allows immediate intervention
→ You don’t need complete rest (you need optimal load)
→ 3-4 months for full recovery is NORMAL, not failure
→ The right orthotics let you maintain life while you heal
Since 2008, BxClinic in Norwich has become the “go to” when other practitioners can’t solve heel pain.
92% complete resolution rate for properly diagnosed cases.
But here’s the thing: most “plantar fasciitis” isn’t actually plantar fasciitis. It’s one of 40+ other heel pain conditions.
I founded to change this. To educate. To raise awareness that heel pain needs proper diagnosis, not generic protocols.
28 years of experience. 7,000+ pairs of feet. National thought leader. International speaker.
But also: fellow sufferer who knows what it’s like to wake up with that sharp heel pain.
