Good evening all.
This morning, we had a huge turnout for a spoken crossword activity session.
We flew through the clues and completed around five crosswords together.
After lunch, it was eyes down for some prize Bingo!👀
There was a selection of fancy biscuits and confectionery on offer for the lucky winners.

Good evening all.
Tuesday morning, we had a Quarterly Residents meeting with Kim and Abbey where the residents got to have their say on all aspects of the home and their care.
After lunch, it was time for our weekly quiz. Wednesday , a group of us set out along the coast and wound our way up to Overstrand- where we enjoyed a rather pleasant but blustery picnic!
It was worth it for the scenery alone.
This morning, unfortunately Reverend Neville was unable to make our service so we had our own.
The message was kindness and compassion for others, with several bible readings on the subject and hymns suggested by the group. They also said a prayer and grace.
This afternoon, we enjoyed some games of Boggle - while others enjoyed the sunshine in the garden .

Good evening all.
This morning, Lee held a gentle seated exercise session with the group to help maintain mobility and independence.
The group worked hard and deserved a well earned drink afterwards.
After lunch, it was word wheel time again.
We had some really hard puzzles today, but this clever lot triumphed!

Good evening all.
We have had a fun, busy day today at Broadacres.
This morning, joined us for her first of 2 monthly sessions and held an energetic session with the group.
After lunch, Denise and her friend Meg held a workshop where the group could paint stones or paper with either a mandala design of their own choice of design.
The residents got stuck in to the task straight away , they chatted to the artists and reminiscenced about their lives and even finished the session with a little singalong.
What a lovely day ☺️

So yesterday we took a group to Amazona zoo at Cromer. We were lucky enough to have some family members and staff volunteer to support some of the residents for the day.
Fiona packed us a beautiful spread for a picnic at lunchtime which we all enjoyed together on some picnic tables provided.
The residents had a great time seeing all the animals and birds- some they had not come across before.
We ended up with a trip to the gift shop for some souvenirs before returning home tired and happy.
Jeffrey meanwhile celebrated his 91st birthday with a huge chocolate decorated cake !🎂

Good evening all.
Today we have had artists Lesley and Helen with us holding workshops for the residents.
Both the ladies supported the ladies to work with some clay in the morning, after lunch Lesley held a collage type workshop which was great fun
You may have seen their exibits around the home, Helens gorgeous pottery is in the hallway and literally flying off the shelves.
Lesley is exhibiting her cold- cast bronze statues in and around the home, we have her wonderful chickens in the garden and a couple of dogs and a little girl statue inside the home.
If you haven't yet been to check out the beautiful exhibition- you have until 5pm this Sunday 6th September.
If you wish to purchase any of the works you can pay with cash or on card.

After our visit to Broadlands the other week, it got me thinking about our Summer house. I took some of their ideas and decided to give ours a makeover!
I was donated a bookshelf and tables, the rest was around the home already.
The knit and natter ladies had previously made the bunting so I put it to good use.
I took a couple of residents for a walk down there this morning and the said it felt inviting and cosy - thats exactly what I was hoping for 🥰
