Here's an example of a modest breast reduction, taking away about 330g from each side and reducing the volume by a couple of cup sizes. This takes away some of the symptoms of large heavy breasts and allows the ni***es to be lifted to give a more youthful appearance. The scars here are about 6 months old and will gradually fade but are the trade off in such quality of life improving surgery. My thanks to this lovely patient for consenting to me displaying her images to illustrate this procedure.

Abdominoplasty or 'tummy tuck' is a great procedure for a number of reasons. It's not just about appearance, although an improved contour is a key part. Sometimes it's also about discomfort from poorly fitting clothing, irritation from skin excess or old scarring and functional problems due to abdominal weakness (usually post pregnancy). This lovely patient kindly consented to sharing her early result following a 'standard' abdominoplasty - yes, 8 months is still early! The tissues and scars take far longer than most people expect to settle...

Off again! This time with a couple of lovely colleagues from Norwich. We visited Tübingen in Germany to learn about GalaFLEX from BD, an absorbable scaffold used in breast surgery, at Aestheticum Tübingen. A great masterclass😷👌🧐, and chance to catch up and explore too obviously!🍻 (unfortunately the local fans were a bit quiet whilst the football was screening😬)

Earlobes! Here's a a picture of an earlobe reduction pre and 6 months post surgery. The scar will continue to fade over the next year or so and has been designed to avoid blunting the attachment between the ear and theface. Split and stretched earlobes can be treated in a similar fashion.

A great visit to Stockholm to learn about Preservé breast augmentation at Victoriakliniken and keep up to date at the annual BTS (Beauty Through Science) meeting. Clinic morning essentials - first coffee (obviously) then it's a look at my Carebit practice management system to check my patients and the day's work. I use a reMarkable tablet to make notes on my consultations before dictating letters and notes. Listening and accurate recording is key. For examining a great bit of kit is my dermatoscope which allows me to look at the skin close up. I also carry a proper camera to ensure I have top quality photo documentation. No wonder my bag weighs a ton! 😎😂

Just popped over to Brussels with Spirecut to see the minimally invasive hand surgery experts in action with ultrasound guided surgical techniques galore (and have an obligatory small b**r obviously).
