We had the privilege to welcome Brenda and Wendy this morning😊

The ladies, who are advisers for two local Women’s Institutes, delivered a talk about the history of the WI and shared information about the WI in Norfolk🙏

It was an informative and interesting talk, enjoyed by many residents indeed😊👏

We are looking forward to developing our connection with the charity.

It was wonderful to witness two very special and beautiful moments today😊

The first one was when John had his daughter, granddaughter and great grandchildren visiting him, thus gathering 4 generations in the room!👴🧑🧒👶

The second one happened when Joyce had an impromptu visit from her friend Jan; seeing them connecting was heartwarming 😊

We welcome families and friends with open arms and if we can do anything to make your visit even more pleasant and memorable, do let us know😊

💫 A sunny trip ☀️

This morning we ventured out to popular spot Whitlingham Park! 🌳

After a delicious ☕️ cuppa in the flint barn cafe, we headed towards the lake where we observed the local wildlife, beautiful swans 🦢 ducks 🦆 and geese 🪿 and watch a few toy boats 🚤 race around the lake!

The morning was full of reminiscing for Bob who used to come fishing 🎣 here every Sunday in his youth and Peter who used to visit when he came to Norwich to see his family! 🥰

Such a lovely morning with beautiful sunshine 🌞

Thank you so much Molly and Steve for sharing with us once more your popular collection of model cars🚙🏎️🚕

You made a lot of residents (and staff) happy, browsing your extensive display☺️

We not only liked holding and observing close the models, we also loved reminiscing about cars we used to have or drive🚔🚖🚘

🪴GARDENING🪴

We had such a relaxing and mindful session this morning with our talented gardener Becky👏💚

We arranged freshly cut flowers from the garden into small vases, which then were placed on the dining tables across the home🌹🌸🌼

The scents of the lovely homegrown flowers permeated the air and we marvelled at the variety that we helped grow with Becky😊🙏💐

It is wonderful to take the garden “inside”, and we look forward to our next monthly session with Becky😊☀️💛

We welcome SUMMER with open arms and invite you to join us on Sunday for Father’s Day👴
We have a talk from the WI on Thursday during our Bond & Brew coffee morning. Why not join us then and bring someone along with you?🗣️

This week, our Friday entertainment is with the wonderful “Sunshine Ukuleles”🎸
