Why “normal” blood tests do not always explain symptoms
Have you ever been told your blood tests are normal, but you still do not feel right?
This is something we hear a lot.
You may be exhausted, waking in the night, struggling with PMS, mood changes, low libido, brain fog, weight changes, anxiety, or that feeling that your body is not quite responding the way it used to.
Standard blood tests are incredibly useful. They are often the right first step, and they can help rule out important medical issues.
But they are not always designed to show the full hormone story.
They may tell us whether a hormone sits within range at one point in time, but they do not always show how your body is processing hormones, how cortisol is moving across the day, or why symptoms may still be showing up even when everything looks “normal”.
This is where deeper hormone testing, such as DUTCH testing, may sometimes be useful.
It does not replace medical care, and it is not needed for everyone.
But when symptoms are complex, it can help us ask better questions.
Not just, “Are your results normal?”
But, “What is your body trying to tell us?”
If this sounds familiar, contact TOP Health and we can help you explore whether DUTCH testing may be appropriate for you 💚
